These ducks rescued in a hoarding case had never swam in the wet stuff before, so when they were led to their first pond, all didn't go quite as planned.

That's funny. When I brought my Pekins home at one day old, they immediately jumped into the pan of water I'd put in their incubator. Now, three years later, I can't keep one out of the water, and the other I have to chase into it.
I'd say they're insane, but "insane duck" is redundant.

I wonder if duck can be prepared like chicken? Never had duck. If you like dark meat you're good to go. It does not taste like chicken however. Google Duck à l'orange recipes. One of the better ways to prepare duck.

Ducks are all dark meat. No white meat. One of the best meals I ever had was prepared by a little old Pennsylvania Dutch lady....Roast duck & Sauerkraut with whipped potatoes and trimmings.
Roast duck w/ plum sauce, the specialty of a local upscale restaurant here, near Harrisburg, PA is superb.

That’s it. Now I feel like cooking up some duck. Haven’t had any in a while and then always à l’orange. Your two recipes sound tasty. I’ll have to Google them and give them a try.
