I'm not buying it either. I'm guessing he has no birth certificate and they got 130 years old because that's how old he said he was when they asked him.

I doubt this man was really born in 1884--most claims like this seem to come from places where record keeping was inadequate or non-existent. It's not likely he was born in a hospital.
Once you’ve reached a hundred, who cares about how many after that? Since the guy wasn’t pining for a trophy or cash buyout, I’m gonna believe him........

Who cares if he was 100, 120, 130 or even 90? Either way he is OLD.
Pay attention people, he said he drank “fresh milk”, aka non-pasteurized and “other dairy products”. That Indian guy who was 90+ and whose wife just had a baby also said he drank fresh milk and dairy products, aka NON-pasteurized.
Obviously these guys know something that the rest of the world is missing.

I think the record keepers made a mistake. My great aunt lived to be almost 116, she died in about 1996. I believe the record keepers in her town but I have my doubts about this guy.

About 15 years ago, an Italian woman died at age 126. She rode a bicycle until she was about 115 (went blind). When asked about her secret to longevity, she said she drank about a cup of olive oil per day, and drank lots of red wine. I forget if she ate any food or not.
Plus, an agrarian lifestyle. A shepherd.

As you age, your body needs fewer calories. The more you eat, the harder your body has to work to digest what you ate. Free radicals are spawned as a result of metabolic processes. The less you eat, the less your body has to work. In a way, retirement should be not just retirement from work but from eating as well, if you can hack that.
My grandfather still has a glass of wine a day, swims laps in his community pool, but he eats very little. Coffee and toast in the morning, a light salad for lunch, and he often doesn’t even eat dinner. He’s 82 but appears no older than 65. I pray I live to the same age.
Makes sense. I know young people who fast whenever they have a cold because the work of digesting food slows them down.
