Washington Redskins to fire Mike Shanahan after four seasons as coach

Mike Shanahan stood in a steady rain on a gloomy afternoon in a largely empty, lifeless stadium here Sunday for what is expected to be his final game as coach of the Washington Redskins. Multiple people familiar with the situation said they expect Shanahan to be fired shortly after Sunday’s season finale against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.

I think his $7 mil a year deal is good for 14 and 15.
A decent living, even after the crushing taxes in that locale.

Actually Shanahan could be a good fit for Detroit. It’s not like Detroit is exactly a coaching magnet in the first place.
He could do some good things with Stafford.
