We don’t need an immigration bill, because we already have immigration law.
What we need is enforcement.
And what we need MOST OF ALL, is VIGOROUS enforcement of our borders!
They say we need to have a path to citizenship, well we DO have one in place. It seems to me that in this day & age of instant gratification and laziness, they don't want to follow that path....they just want it NOW.
I always had faith that America, the real America, would do the right thing. I am fast losing that faith. What needs to be done, besides voting these treasonous POS out of office? I don't think that's going to be enough, because the damage will have already been done.

Exactly. Passing more laws they have no intention of enforcing is sheer madness.
Here's a reasonable proposition. Demand that, before ANY new immigration legislation is passed, the government can prove that it can and will enforce ALL CURRENT immigration laws for 6 years, at least one election cycle and a senate term, so that intra-administration interests are not being served. Set up an independent monitoring agency to oversee it. If ALL current laws are enforced exactly, then and only then will we entertain new legislation.
But don't expect it to happen. And the gains that conservative Republicans are likely to see in all areas of government will keep it that way.
