The “solid majority in the House” you speak of is useless. In case you have not been paying attention, Obama is ruling by fiat as a defacto emperor-dictator and has been circumventing Congress, the Senate and the will of the people via “executive orders” for several years, totally unopposed by either the House or Senate. He will now continue to do so at an accelerated pace, totally unopposed with no one to stop him, not even the Constitution of the United States of America.
We conservatives have been branded "domestic terrorists" by this administration and preparations have been underway, behind the scenes, for some time as to how to "deal" with us.

While a righteous remnant of genuine, born-again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ remain, we are now a very small minority of the population in America and at the "mercy" of an ungodly ruler, his wicked "administration" and an increasingly hostile secular-humanist population which views us with contempt and outright hostility. The good news in all of this is God is still on His throne. He is still working all things together for good to those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) and The Lord Jesus Christ is still on His throne, He is still "King of Kings and Lord of Lords." He is also still coming back to rapture His church and pour out judgment upon all of mankind which has rejected the Lord Jesus Christ and the salvation He freely offers to all who believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of their eternal souls.
I suppose that would be a lot more comforting were I a Christian.

"for Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13)

You’re both right. Obama has just won a second term and has his job for four more years. No more Mister Nice Guy handing out the free cellphones and contraceptives. You’ll know that the Regime has selected the battlefield when someone is sent to seize your property, deny health care, take your hard earned money and give it to cronies, or some other illegal, impeachable thing. Then comes “thinking bigger”, where you are left making some ugly choices concerning your future pursuit of happiness.
