It is not inconceivable that Obama gets just one Supreme Court pick. Ginsburg is very old and very sick and her replacement is a wash.

The house still has subpoena powers and that is one HELL of a check on the Executive.

Worst case scenario is gridlock for the next two years and the last time I checked, the government doing nothing is better than the government doing something. With DC out of the way, businesses can get to work.

My optimism is not blind just like my calling this defeat over the last couple of days was not blind.

Democracy is hard work. Getting people into office is obviously not enough - conservatives need to do the hard work of keeping the politicians they elect honest. Democrats are a lot better at keeping tabs on the people they elect - probably because they don't have the revulsion to government that conservatives understandably have.

If God does not have mercy and deliver us, then I believe we are under the judgment of Almighty God as a direct result of our ongoing lawlessness, ungodliness and sin. He has given America over to our sin and degradation (cf. Romans 1:18-32)and we have reached the tipping point of no return as a nation.

Pray because at this point, very existence and future of our nation rests in the hands and predetermined will of God.

Romney, Ryan, no mere man or party can save America and her people, only the Lord Jesus Christ. If the outcome of this elections stands and Obama gains reelection, we are about to enter the refining crucible of Almighty God as a result of our sin and God's divine judgment as a nation and as individuals. The key is to know and stay close to/walk with the Lord Jesus and to stay faithful to Him because things are going to get very bad from here on out, but it was prophesied and we are privileged to see these harrowing events come to pass: "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man." (cf. Luke 17:26-33)

Take heart, and find your hope and strength in the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back. Maranatha!

1) Obamacare is here to stay. Medical care will suffer, and doctors will begin pay-as-you-go services "only" to combat it.
2) We'll have about 2 nukes left in our arsenal by 2016 (the two one of our Republican generals swipes and stores in his garage, God bless him).
3) We'll have 2 more liberals on the Supreme Court and a whole lot less freedom, property rights, etc.
4) Even more blacks and 20-somethings will be unemployed, and more college grads living at home with mom/dad
5) Taxes on the middle class will be higher than even Clinton had them.
6) Israel may well cease to exist
7) Inflation
8) Decreased quality of life in America
9) Open borders
10)Less drilling, less military spending, higher unemployment, less research/development, less investment, even more government dependence and debt.
