Retired CPA, completed 30 years in public accounting in 1998. Concentrated in tax practice, but also spent many boring hours on auditing. After doing my 30 years, I decided I wanted out! Sold my accounting practice in 1998 and retired to full time golf and fishing.

My distant fishing trips from the mid 70s to the mid 80s were to Canada and Alaska. From mid 80s to late 90s, I fished in the Rockies, most trips to the Yellowstone area.

After retirement, my need to travel was satisfied, I had a need for a place for my automotive and watercraft toys, so in 2003, I acquired a small house next to my residence that I converted to a shop, garage, and the entire back yard to a garden. Golf went away in 2008, when I developed a heart problem (acquired a spiffy new very expensive pacemaker/defibrillator), and arthritis. Fishing mostly went away when I started gardening in 2004. Here, fishing season and gardening both happen in May and June. I found it hard to do both, and half the time, the lakes are sucked dry every summer for irrigation, and all the desirable fish die, so I decided gardening is cheaper and more productive.
