You are most welcome. I have the CMMG on a 10.5 inch barrel gun. Lots of fun when I turn the gas off and insert the CMMG 22lr conversion kit. I find the Blackdog mags work flawlessly.

Do you like Blackdog .22LR mags better than CMMG mags? I've got three CMMG mags which seem to work pretty good for the most part, but the rifle produces a VERY annoying stoppage sometimes. A round will feed, but end up pinched (projectile end of the cartridge) in the TOP of the .22 bolt. You have to reach up through the mag well with a Leatherman tool (or pliers) and PULL hard... something I don't like doing to rimfire ammo!... OR... you have to split the rifle, pull the bolt and clear it.
Have you heard of this malfunction or experienced it? It seems to happen a LOT when the hi-cap mag is down to about three rounds remaining. I read that CMMGs charging handle FOR the .22 adapter could help. Thanks in advance. :-)

I have one, exactly one, CMMG mag. Came with the kit. The blackdog mags function very well and they have a loading assist tool. I've expereince the feed problem and I chalk it up tot he weakness of the CMMG mag spring. If you disassemble the mag and put a filler in for equiv of three rounds (reduces the mag cap but stops the feeding issues) then put the mag bottom back on, you might find the porblem solved. Worked for me. The blackdog mags will start doing the same thing as the CMMG after a few hundred rounds or if stored for any length of time fully loaded. Same filler trick works with them also.
BTW, the Mossberg 25 round mags have a really weak spring and need to be filled to hold only 20 rounds to make the spring stiffer at the end of rounds fed.

I’ll try adding a filler equiv of three rounds and see how that does. Thanks!

I have the previous version of this in civilian configuration. Exactly like the M-16, but with no auto-select. It’s a 1970 version of an M-16 by Colt called the SP-1...no forward assist, no shell deflector, three prong flash suppressor, triangle forestock, etc.
I like it. Just like the one I had in training. Paid hardly nothing for it and it is beautiful condition.
