I agree. Those are not 911 calls.

What’s eyeopening to me about that call list is that it goes back to 2004. I’m guessing when Zimmerman started with his neighborhood watch. The first calls came through 911 but eventually he started calling into dispatch.

What struck me the most, is that Zimmerman DOES NOT do the neighborhood watch thing that often. Looks to be once a month and sometimes three or four months go by without doing anything.

Now this could be that he does do neighborhood watch alot but doesn’t call in that much. Either way, it certainly does not support the the left-wing media take that Zimmerman was an out of control little Chekist that liked to stick his nose in other people’s business, nor does it support the sycophants here complaining that Zimmerman is nothing more than a jack-booted thug copwannabe in training.

Gated communities, whether super nice estates, condos, or apartments, seem to be the trend to help keep out the riff-raff.

None of knows what really happened, but, if you are trespassing in a gated community, and you are dressed like a gangster, you msy be mistaken for one.

Of course Martin attacked Zimmerman, to believe otherwise is to imply that Zimmerman was just driving around popping caps into any black men he saw that night.

Zimmerman saved the justice system millions jailing this punk. Zimmerman should be given a medal and the key to the city.

The media the race baiters and the Obama lovers are creating racists out of people who would normally not be.

IMO there WILL be a HOT civil war for the survival of our republic. I believe it is inevitable AND I believe it is coming soon. Now it is becoming more and more apparent who will be on what side ...

I understand the clarification - just not sure it is a technicality most would appreciate.

Sorry, Post #129 has been removed by the moderator. Presumably from one of those outfits that won’t allow photos to be linked here.

I’ve heard it said repeatedly that he looks nothing like those younger photos that have been released, but I have yet to see an actual photo.

He was kicked out of school for 5 days before this happened, but we also don’t know what his offense was.

Still, I think the probabilities are that the kid was a thug. He was trespassing in a gated community. And as someone said on another thread, the only reasonable explanation for why there was no round in the chamber but a full magazine is that they were struggling over the gun and Zimmerman’s hand, caught on it in the struggle, prevented it from reloading the chamber as it would normally do.

Also, he was evidently hit on the back of his head, suggesting that Martin attacked him after he turned away to go back to his car. Grass on his back, all the rest of it, the probabilities certainly favor Martin.

No, but if you pursue someone and a fight develops, it’s pretty tough to claim you were acting in self-defense.

One of the few things that is perfectly clear about this case is that Zimmerman initiated the confrontation. The kid was just walking home minding his own business.

When I was 17 and walking alone at night it would certainly have scared me if an unknown, ununiformed guy had followed me in his car and then chased me on foot.

So it is at minimum plausible that Zimmerman started the violence, was losing the fight and resorted to his pistol to win. The law, even the arguably flawed stand your ground law, does not allow one to start a fight and then kill the other guy if you start losing. That is not self-defense, it is aggravated assault followed by manslaughter or second-degree murder.

Now I don’t know that is what happened. But then neither does anybody else. And it is just as plausible as Zimmerman’s story.

Was he trespassing? Thought his father’s girlfriend lived in the so-called “gated community.” The community was an apartment complex with gates that were locked. When the media said “gated community” wasn’t your first thought of some very wealthy people with tied up yachts and huge houses? Trayvon may have just wanted to get out of the house to talk to his girlfriend privately.

Only mentioned this because the story is screwed up ANYWAY, not by you necessarily, but we just don’t know. If the race-baiters keep it up, we’ll never know, because they’ll have Zimmerman hung before his story even GETS out.

I agree with most of what you say.

However, that Zimmerman may have been losing the fight does not in and of itself mean he did not also start the fight.

You are, of course, 100% correct about the media.

No, not necessarily. Most "gated communities" have gates that open and close with each person coming and going. This place (like most like it) is decorative at best. A kid could climb over that wall and I doubt those gates are ever closed. But it's all a guess as I do not live there.

We know there was a physical fight. Which of the two was “the attacker” is not known.

Oh come on.

Z might not be the brightest bulb and maybe overzealous protecting the neighborhood and call cops, but people carrying concealed weapons, would rarely ever start a physical confrontation. I just don't see it.

I could be wrong, but I think when this all shakes out, you'll find Martin initiated the physical altercation.

“He was trespassing in a gated community.”

I haven’t been following too closely, but this isn’t what I have heard. Where did you hear this?

-- He was trespassing in a gated community. --

He had a right to be there, staying with his father who lived there.

One of the few things that is perfectly clear about this case is that Zimmerman initiated the confrontation. --

On the first point, the inquiry is whether the person claiming self defense is in reasonable apprehension of unwelcome contact. Pursuit, in itself, may or may not give a reasonable person the right to hit you - generally it does NOT, without more.

But in addition to that, I think you make an error when you assume that the tables can't turn in this case, with Martin becoming the one in pursuit of Zimmerman. Zimmerman lost sight of Martin, and said (recorded on the call to dispatch) that he was going back to his vehicle. That sounds like pursuit broken off.

Said another way, it's possible, in a fairly short period of time, to have more than one confrontation.
