OK, so what am I going to use in "Jack and Cokes?" instead of Coke? (Vanity "plus")

Since Coke is giving $ to the WWF, I don't want to buy their product. What is a good substitute for my "Jack & Cokes"? I don't care for "Jack & Pepsi".

Store brand cola. You won’t be able to tell mixed with the bourbon.

Lack and gingerale ... try it, you’ll like. Mikey does, but then he’s a ginger.

I don't drink anymore (gave it up this morning), but I recommend skipping the Coke.

Lots of stores carry their own brand of sodas. Pick one.

It's just an opinion but, if the whiskey you're drinking needs to be covered up with a sugary soft drink maybe you need a better whiskey. Both Ireland and Scotland make some pretty fine competition for the venerable American bourbons and most of the fun is in finding the one you like best.

As I said, it's just an opinion but not an unfounded opinion.

Sometimes a glass of ice water to chase a sip with is acceptable.

Also mineral water (Perrier, etc) is most excellent as a side to a straight up shot of Jack. Try....you'll like. :-)

True, but I like the taste better.

But to each their own. Segrams 7 is 20% whiskey/80% neutral grain spirits, really whiskey flavored vodka. So you don't taste the whiskey as much. But it doesn't matter much if you're mixing it with soda.
