There was quite a bit of shock today when it was announced that the unemployment rate DECLINED in May despite most economists predicting it would rise to 20%. Here are a few shocked reactions to the May jobs report. My favorite reaction is from the angry guy who is whining that the unemployment really rose but that the stats were faked by the Labor Department.
PING!
We will come back! Riots are not working, dummies.
Simpleton. Say the to a now bankrupt business owner. Riots have destroyed thousands of businesses.
Good news is always bad, to the democrats.
Labor statistics that show improvement, must be lies, under the Trump administration. Labor statistics that showed improvement under Obama, were always truthful, according to democrats.
wishful thinking = reality
President Trump should announce a Marshall plan for the rebuilding of businesses across the country that were ravaged by riots. Maybe with one stipulation: a requirement that they carry insurance. Im not talking about Target or Apple or Macys or Nieman Marcus. Im talking about mom and pop businesses with smashed store fronts and looted inventory.
I agree with your statement but I have one point of contention. These lockdowns have closed at leas a hundred thousand small businesses. How many will never come back is yet to be determined, it is a grim number
Shocked that the employment numbers would change when states started adding workers back.
I love it. Wait until the country is open again.
The jobs numbers will really take off.
There are still roughly 20-25 mostly Dem states still quarantined to some degree or another.
Many of these are jobs that were furloughed, right? Why is anyone surprised? The casinos are back...I am confused.
I really enjoyed watching the “little boy” at 2:13 of the video commenting on all the lies in the report. It seemed to me that he was close to tears ... which I think was the highlight of the video, especially when he claimed the Labor Department cooked up the numbers to support Trump’s re-election. Yow-Za!!
I’m as concerned as you are that this good jobs report isn’t going to look so good after the riots.
But calling a FReeper you disagree with a “simpleton” is just crude and inappropriate.
Save your bile for the RATs. They deserve every bit of it.
Anyway, his argument that people coming off furlough is not a "job gained" has no weight when these same people were gleefully counting furloughed employees as "jobs lost". Back then it was "all Trump's fault." So it's only right that Trump should get credit now that these furloughed workers are coming back.
Amazon hiring robots.
That moron in the middle is something else.
Even black thugs and white antifa commies can’t take our country down.
he claimed the Labor Department cooked up the numbers to support Trumps re-election. Yow-Za!!

Yeah, right.....these same scum have been using the furloughed numbers as equal to (permanent)job losses for months. People were furloughed precisely so they could access the enhanced unemployment compensation (& the stimulus). Those numbers (the *losses*) did not represent a systemic economic problem AND they did not result in less income, but, instead, they resulted in more income per worker. That $$ is burning a hole and the only reason it’s not being spent is the continued lockdowns and slow reopenings.
Another thing: the insurrection is delaying shipments everywhere. I have been impacted in several ways, which is hampering my move. In every instance, the official shipment delays are being classified as *civil unrest*. so, we are out there supporting the economy while the progs throw literal caltrops in the way.
I know it’s not just me and I also know everyone hates the progs’ guts.
Yes, and when they go back to work they give up unemployment checks, which helps the economy.
