Teacher pens FB post about Florida school shooting. It’s gone mega-viral for all the right reasons.

Kelly Guthrie Raley was named “Teacher of the Year” at her Florida school, Eustis Middle School, for the 2017-2018 school year last month, according to Fox News. But now she’s being recognized for her cultural commentary following the tragic Florida school shooting.

In a Facebook post that’s gone mega-viral, Ms. Raley analyzes American culture at-large and how it contributed to Wednesday’s shootings and other previous mass shootings.

What did she say? Raley did not hold anything back. She wrote:

Until we, as a country, are willing to get serious and talk about mental health issues, lack of available care for the mental health issues, lack of discipline in the home, horrendous lack of parental support when the schools are trying to control horrible behavior at school (oh no! Not MY KID. What did YOU do to cause my kid to react that way?), lack of moral values, and yes, I’ll say it-violent video games that take away all sensitivity to ANY compassion for others’ lives, as well as reality TV that makes it commonplace for people to constantly scream up in each others’ faces and not value any other person but themselves, we will have a gun problem in school. Our kids don’t understand the permanency of death anymore!!! The middle school teacher then told parents they need to “STEP UP,” explaining that much of the cultural problem begins at home.

“My parents NEVER supported any bad behavior from me. I was terrified of doing something bad at school, as I would have not had a life until I corrected the problem and straightened my a** out. My parents invaded my life,” Raley wrote.

“They knew where I was ALL the time. They made me have a curfew. They made me wake them up when I got home. They made me respect their rules. They had full control of their house, and at any time could and would go through every inch of my bedroom, backpack, pockets, anything!” she explained.

“Parents: it’s time to STEP UP! Be the parent that actually gives a crap! Be the annoying mom that pries and knows what your kid is doing. STOP being their friend,” Raley charged.

Raley wanted to emphasize that her post had nothing to do with the conversation about guns or gun control. She wrote: This post wasn’t about gun control. This was me, loving the crap out of people and wanting the best for them. This was about my school babies and knowing that God created each one for greatness, and just wanting them to reach their futures. It’s about 20 years ago this year I started my teaching career. Violence was not this bad 20 years ago. Lack of compassion wasn’t this bad 20 years ago. And God knows 20 years ago that I wasn’t afraid daily to call a parent because I KNEW that 9 out of 10 would cuss me out, tell me to go to Hell, call the news on me, call the school board on me, or post all over FaceBook about me because I called to let them know what their child chose to do at school…because they are a NORMAL kid!!!!!

"STOP being their friend,” Raley charged

Excellent Kelly!

First child 1980 and I remember classmates and friends talking about being a friend to their child. Remember thinking then, "what are you smoking?"

When I challenged, common response was, "how can I punish my children for doing the same thing I did?

I kinda figured we lost our society then.

I knew teachers who quit 20 years ago because they weren’t allowed any control over their students.

Kid yells obscenities at teacher, teacher sends kid to principal, kid returns to class and principal reprimands teacher.

Yes, and the SIXTIES also saw the Lord’s Prayer finally dropped from public schools and the Protestant churches one by one drop all their past opposition to the PILL. Girls were as “safe” from consequences at last, as they always thought the boys were, to begin more freely engaging in promiscuity.

No one had to get married so they just date for over a decade and delay growing up. Education and careers exploded as new gods.

She’s old school and due to liberal mental disease, parents lost sight in what she stated perfectly: “Be the annoying mom that pries and knows what your kid is doing. STOP being their friend,” Raley charged”

It is the "old school" teachers who are harassed, threatened, etc. until they quit or retire in the NYC school system, and I suspect in other school systems. Anyone holding the values this lady holds dear will be subjected to similar treatment. They want young teachers who try to be the students' "friend". That is totally ineffective for controlling student behavior, but that's what administrators like to see: teachers & students as "friends", not the teacher as an authority figure. That's been eroded over the years as the libtards became more and more in control of the nation's education system, to the total detriment of it.

When are we going to have the simple conversation that points out that liberalism is nothing more than rejection of Gods Rule.

But these factors have little effect on school shootings or other shooting massacres. Dissipation of restraints for one’s actions by drug-induced vaporization of inhibitions. This has been seen in the religious environment where Valium has reduced or eliminated Biblical norms of purity in the person’s conduct. How much more so for the irreligious person.

Public schools won’t change until property taxes (and all wealth taxes) are abolished. Governments control valuations and rates to seize the revenues they want. Until that is changed, there is no reason for schools to care much about what they do to your children. Liberals aren’t concerned if we lose a few children here and there. Implementation of absurd ideas is all that matters.

Hollywood movies are Bloodbaths of Violence. Video Games are Bloodbaths of Violence. Rap & Hip Hop Glorify Violence. That is the illness behind the slaughter.

Chasing God out of the classroom sure didn’t usher in the Age Of Reason.

The “video game” excuse is tired and worn out. I’ve been playing video games for most of my 43 years of life and have YET to go on a shooting rampage with the plethora of guns I have...INCLUDING my AR-15...

"Scared Straight" Program

https://www.teentreatmentcenter.com/blog/do-scared-straight-programs-work/

Program been around a long time. Not sure of its effectiveness. Like any program, without proper follow-up and enforcement of behavior (oh gee . . . that would be a family support system), no program can ever work.

In this case, around five years ago...the mother of this Florida kid took away his gamer-system. He went into some tirade and destroying the house. This woman (by that point being near 60 years old) retreated to some room...locked the door, and called the cops.

Cops arrive...detain the kid...handcuff him and then wait for a social services guy to arrive and ‘talk’ the kid down to some level. As far as the story goes, the cops never removed him from the property.

I tend to think (without much studies done on the topic) that video-gaming soothes paranoid-schizophrenic type folks and keeps their mind occupied. It’s their ‘drug’. If you remove the game or interfere with it...they no longer can control their emotions.

If you go back and review most all mass shootings, they tend to lead to four categories of people: opioid-users, steroid-users, paranoid-schizophrenic types, or mood-enhanced drug-users. You can go back over forty years and place folks into these four groups...it’d be like 99-percent to fit into these categories.

Yes, a cascade of “progress” swallowed up simplicity. My own thoughts are inclined toward the cultural effects of ejecting God from American lives, and all our institutions. We failed to keep the faith. Our liberty became license, increasingly turning us inward and of course decadence soon followed.

And yet missing that an all-negative “love” really isn’t what God instituted either.

Christians who grasp this can share a faith that is holy enough to resist secular liberalism.

Superficiality doesn’t last. That’s for sure. Do we hope for “programs” to fill in for what ought to be happening in church? Bible literacy is plummeting.

God wasn’t chased out of anywhere but individual hearts. The state never pumped God either into or out of a classroom — for that’s not the state’s role.

When school became a right instead of a privilege (hello illegals, affirmative action aka mandatory “diversity”), good studious kids who needed school were held hostage by these parasite pirates and their loot redistributing bosses in Obama et al

Discipline would be a possibility if we separated freedom of speech from privilege to play football or go to school (hello NFL), and until then school shootings and cops getting murdered will continue

Oh and idiot Sessions hiding in the corner not daring say anything needs to be removed

Time for America to Kick A$$ Again!
