Person Strikes Car Before Hitting Gas: Did Charlottesville driver panic?

Video seems to show the car being hit with a flag before accelerating into the crowd.

I know that is certainly not justification for running down protesters, but it does present some evidence that the driver could use in his defense.

Overall, this whole protest was obviously staged to be a cockfight. It's really a miracle that there weren't more deaths and serious injuries in Charlottesville last weekend.

The guy in the gray shirt, center screen, appears to have just hit the Dodge Charger with a flag before the car accelerates into the protestors.

The video at the youtube link is in slow motion and it makes it a bit difficult to tell just when the driver hits the gas.

Nobody seems to notice that the dead girl was committing felony restraint when she was standing in the street obstructing traffic.

I can’t help but wonder if the girl that was killed is the one in black just to the right of the car in this frame. The 4chan kids claim she was the first on the trunk breaking out the rear window. If so, this may be the last photo of her alive.

Looks more like the kid threw a bottle of water at the car. You can see the bottle just behind the left tire, and it is obvious it is moving as it is not fully touching the ground.

P.S. It is even possible the kid hit the car with the flag, then threw the water bottle with the other hand. A water bottle hitting a car can make a pretty good noise. A full water bottle can even cause damage if you hit the car in the right spot.

I notice many have not seen the full videos. I watched many of them last night. But that is because I went looking for them. Most people have seen what the MEDIA shows on TV, which is edited.

What WE don’t know is what was going on that (may have) caused him to speed up and crash into the protesters and other car. That part is not in the videos. Do you know why ?
