I’ve done some research on the red pill concept and there are two observations I have.
One is that anyone could really have seen this coming if they had thought about it. The kind of extreme feminist that the feminist movement has engendered was eventually get some blowback. IMO, the MGTOW/Red Pill movement was inevitable when men got sick of the status quo.
That’s what happened in the feminist movement. The first few things the feminists were for were reasonable. Then the movement morphed into what it is today.
That said, that is EXACTLY what is going to happen to the MGTOW/Red Pill movement. It WILL follow the same path and that person (I refuse to give the honor of calling a FReeper) who signed up and advocated the kind of nonsense he did and got rightly banned for, is where that movement is heading to.
There will be those in the movement to keep pushing the limits and will take it to the extreme, just as happened with the feminist movement.

Well, I have and the women are TERRIFIED of their husbands.
The one poor women I remember well. She was a wreck when in his presence, which was very overbearing and disapproving. All he'd have to do was shoot her a look and she cowed.

A woman’s best long term strategy would be to marry in her early 20’s to the best-quality man she could nail down. At 21 she has the widest selection of guys willing to marry her, and she is at her peak desirability. At 30, she is mostly going to get leftovers.
It’s the 80-20 rule. 80% of women desire the same top 20% of men, and don’t want to “settle” for the kind of man who would actually have any interest in marrying them. Meanwhile, the top 10-20% get lots of women, and thus have little interest in committing to any of them.

None. What I’m describing is how Orthodox Jews and other similar groups maintain large families with pretty close to zero divorce.

Of course, it is true that a woman would yearn for security but, 80% of the said guys, in their Camry’s, are likely nice people capable of supporting a wife in a similar fashion that she is accustomed to. Where do these unrealistic expectations originate? Television and other media are where. It takes 10-15 years for women to come in for a landing. It takes too long a time for them to realize that there are not enough prince’s to go around.They become time sensitive by their early thirties and the guys are frustrated to no end by then. Something is way out of kilter.
Not conscious expectations so much as, again, biology. The nice car, etc are signals of ability to support. It doesn’t work so much for most of the lower working class because they start with an expectation that the healthy woman or the prosperous man are out of reach from the start. 60 years ago when the prosperous young man was a rarer commodity and there was a higher ratio of successful craftsmen and even laborers (young, musculature was a brighter sign of ability to support a family than it is now.
Some years ago we took care of the rental house next door for the landlord but had no input in its renting out. A young couple with a 4 YO boy moved in. Wife noticed time and again that woman had bruises and bandages here and there on her body. It became obvious that her husband was putting them there. Wife tried to talk to the woman a few times and offered her a way out but she only said, “he loves me.” Eventually the U-hauled away in the night owing 3 months rent. We cleaned out the place and found multiple fistholes in the wallboard and broken furniture and two metal garbage cans we filled with half pint and pint Johnny Walker flasks. They went up to Alabama and two years later returned to another part of town. He went home drunk one night and shot his wife in front of the little son. He is still on death row in Raiford (Florida).
How tragic.
I will never understand how women allow men to abuse them.
Back in the 70’s I had a cousin who escaped from an abusive marriage with the help of my aunt.
The husband would not allow her to go ANYWHERE. He owned his own business and the house was behind it and he monitored her every move.
Well, one day she had a doctor’s appointment (maybe I don’t know for sure or if it was an excuse) and the guy had trusted my aunt enough to let her take her and their little girl and they disappeared. They left with the clothes on their back. They couldn’t take anything because they couldn’t arouse suspicion that he would find out.
My aunt would NOT talk about where she was. Nobody knew by her. It was years before she reappeared back on the scene.
I never saw her again.
And most of them can’t be “saved.” You get them out of the bad situation or the husbands divorce them or die and they immediately find other such. One lady explained it as if he is bad enough to beat me up he is bad enough to protect me from everyone else. Ultimately that didn’t work out for her that way.
So they can be sluts early on, however, now they want a good man. No thank you!
Got some bad news for you bro. I was in your situation in my 30s had a good job, didn’t drink, no drugs, never even thought about fooling around on my wife. I was very content and happy. However, the ex had different plans. Got divorced, lost my job because of it, got cleaned out by her lawyer. Eliminated all my retirement accounts and savings. In 2012 she abandoned the my kids with me while she went on to her next victim. I was still required to pay her child support until November 2016 even though the kids lived with me. Jumped through all the hoops for 5 years and when I finally got her into court she had to pay nothing. I spent 10k n lawyers for nothing. No back support no future support and the kids are still with me. Still want to enter the marriage game? Run dude, run fast
Good, marrying men are difficult to find when they are older. A man, if he is unattached, has either been through a divorce or two or “lived with” a woman for many years. Heck, he might even have a kid or two, child support or alimony. A cliché? — no, my wife's two friends are experiencing “this reality.”
And the rest are either gay or already married.
It is a bit of a dead end if a woman is looking for a good relationship. Sad, but true. So we need to educate our daughters and try to counter the propaganda.

Damn. That is a horror story. Would turn me away. Prostitutes would look pretty good and are a heck of a lot cheaper.
