“Why did it have to be me” from their Arrival album. I think this is my favorite ABBA song. I’m including three versions here. First is the studio version that was was released on their Arrival album. Second is a live version from 1976. Third is a very early, and very different, version of the song, which was called “Happy Hawaii” at the time:

nah dude. I know a guy here in L.A who teaches this stuff. LOl it’s not gargling but close to it...
Aside from Air Supply, Abba is the greatest band ever.
That’s right...that, and the fact that this was how ALL the glam-rock groups were dressing back then.
dfwgator, Fernando was originally a straight-forward love song in its original Swedish. It was Stig Anderson who changed it, when he rewrote it in English for ABBA.
As for the handful of whiners on this thread...ABBA is simply the best pop group since The Beatles, and their continuing record sales reflect this. I’d hate to be such a sad and miserable person, that I couldn’t enjoy such perfect pop music.
LOL!
I got hooked on them a couple years ago, listening to now defunct waterlooradio.net.
It was all ABBA, all the time, including after ABBA.
Well, there you have the connection between the Arizona Douchebag and Rahm Emanuel .
Is that Meryl Streep or a drag queen?
Where did you get my picture?
I’m a Uriah Heep fan myself.
Where are the great singers and songs today?
I like this, watch the end where the woman do a jig at about the 3 min mark.
The blonde Agnetha Fältskog is a great singer. The other cannot dance... looks funny.

I didn't understand it either, until I listened to a bunch of their non-hit songs. My list is very, very different than any of their greatest hits compilations.
My list includes a lot of songs from the earlier albums with Bjorn as the lead singer. They weren't hits but they are fantastic songs.
Listening to the albums was the only way for me to find out that I liked them so much. Before that, all I knew were the hits, most of which I don't like.
I have now. What a pretty song. Thanks for the link.
That's what I used to think, before I had heard their non-hits. My list is very different from any of their greatest hits compilations.
LOL!
Actually, 17 of the 31 songs on my list are from the first two albums.
Your list is missing two of their best songs. “Knowing Me Knowing You” and “Name of the Game.”
I haven’t heard most of the songs on your list, but I would rather hear these 2 than “Waterloo”, “Mamma Mia” and even their biggest hit “Dancing Queen.”
I don’t understand it when people make lists and leave out obvious choices. You could say, “Just because they’re hits doesn’t make the them great”, but I would say, “That’s why they’re hits, they’re great.”
