A Chicago couple is claiming its support for President Donald Trump has resulted in significant and continuous harassment from anti-Trump leftists, forcing the retail side of the business the couple owns in Chicago to shut down indefinitely.
Suzzanne Monk and Alexander Duvel appeared on Fox News Channel’s “Fox and Friends” Sunday morning, during which the married couple explained they have been receiving numerous threats from people angry at Monk and Duvel for openly supporting Trump.
“Well, I attended the [Trump] rally at the UIC Pavilion that got shut down, and while my husband was discussing that online, we actually drew some attention from the left, and they outed us at that point as Trump supporters,” said Monk. “And since that point, we have been receiving online threats, ratings wars, just called every name in the book online, YouTube harassment, and recently, what we’ve found is that they’re actually even talking to other musicians and threatening people who would do business with us who didn’t even vote for Trump. So, it’s kind of a tragic situation.”
The couple’s store, Worlds of Music, sells and repairs exotic musical instruments in Chicago.
The rally Monk referred to was a Trump campaign event scheduled at UIC Pavilion in Chicago in March 2016, held prior to Trump securing the Republican presidential nomination. The rally was abruptly canceled on the day of the event due to significant security concerns and violent rallies held by anti-Trump protestors across the city. Thousands of Trump supporters were left waiting at the UIC Pavilion before being told the event had been canceled.
Monk and Duvel also said they have lost friends as a result of their open support for Trump.
“It started out with a lot of strangers and people I didn’t know, but as it has gone on, it is surprising to see people that Alex has performed music with, people that we’ve known and I’ve had in my home, turn around and decide we’re white supremacists, we’re xenophobes—not out of any evidence,” said Monk. “The only evidence they have is that we voted for Donald Trump.”
Monk and Duvel say they will continue to operate some aspects of their business online, but they will close the retail side of the store in April due to the backlash. They claim they’ve spent their entire life savings on the business.
This couple has learned the hard way that socialist-democrats will NOT tolerate dissenting views.
The leftist socialist-democrats in the US are going for broke.
People need to start videoing this harassment and start pressing charges.
Republicans need to be able to defend themselves. Remember that leftist governments have killed over 100 million of their own people in the last 100 years. Don’t think the leftists here are not capable of doing the same.
Sounds to me as if they don’t know how to fight these people by putting up their own You Tube videos, returning fire on their e-mails, tracking down IP addresses and charging them with stalking etc. Once you fight back hard they fade away.
This just hit the media here today. I caught a little bit about it on the radio this morning. I’m going to Tweet this to Joe Walsh on WIND — he’s a fire-breather.
Maybe you could volunteer to do that for them so they can salvage their business. It shouldn’t take much of your time.
But, the couple and pack up their stuff and move to a conservative area .. and be back in business again .. and making a lot more money.

Conservatives are becoming second class citizens in this country. Are we going to accept that? Time to start living by the motto “You may not agree with what I say, but I will defend to your death my right to say it”.

Not too many people know how to do that.
As usual a conservative puts their ass on the line.
And the other conservatives say tsk tsk crickets.
IF you or anyone else here knows how to do the things you mention, perhaps you can actually do something to help a fellow conservative rather than critiquing what they SHOULD be doing.
Leftists know how to bring in troops.
Conservatives know how to wring their hands.

It’s amazing how unhinged normal and rational seeming people can become over Trump.
I’ve had people that I gotten along with pretty well just lose it over him. You’d think I became public enemy number 1.
And I know others who have been in the same situation with people they’ve known and been on good terms with their whole lives.
Seems that Trump brings out the worst in people.
He’s God’s line in the and as far as I’m concerned.
This is a good chance to move to a better community and watch their business flourish.
Chicago, where “politicians, criminals, communists and crazies” all have the same dictionary meaning.
Move your business to a red area. You will have like minded people supporting you.
