While candidates cannot file a direct request for a recount, they may appeal the “order or decision of any county board regarding the computation or canvassing of the returns of any primary or election, or regarding any recount or recanvass thereof.” During the appeal process, the court may determine that a recount is necessary. Even though Trump won NC by about 4 points, Durham County should be recounted for the Governor’s race.
Why would they? There's no way any of those states flip without there having been pro-Trump fraud in each of them, and there wasn't.
Additionally, what I'd be concerned about is some kind of fraud by the Democrats after the fact...

That's what I'm trying to figure out. The vote gap was too large to automatically trigger a recount in any of those states. What basis does Stein have to get a recount in WI, or any of the other states? From what I've heard, Michigan is all paper ballot and the vote tallies have already been certified. If this is an attempt to overturn the election, she can't do it.
