I just had my children watch this. I had never seen it.
For those of us who grew up on Peanuts, this is NOT canon. Adults abound, and even speak outside of the wuh-wuh-wuhhh that is standard in Peanuts specials.
The producers decided to do away with Peanuts convention to improve historicity.

There is evidence that Basque fishermen had been working those waters for a long time. The Basque fishermen or the English ones that taught Samoset English were likely the unwitting vectors that carried small pox to these tribes. It’s estimated by some that Indian population were down 80% by the time the Pilgrims showed up. Standish & others noted this population collapse in their journals.
We noticed that also - that adults actually spoke real words in this one.

I was amazed at how the narrator kept saying that their faith in God pulled them through and that they trusted “The Lord” to protect them.
I guess the ratings have kept the show on the air. And I bet they fear a boycott if people see the show changed to be PC.

Because it’s pointless to repost the entire content here of an article I wrote on another website. That creates duplicate content on the Internet which Google doesn’t like and would be a negative in the eyes of Google for Free Republic. It’s explained in Google’s best practices.

Lack of substance? Why would you say that? Veggie Tales was pulled from a major network a few years ago because one of their shows was deemed too Christian by the PC crowd. But it’s lack of substance for me to point out that it could happen to Charlie Brown? I’m not the enemy here. Why fight an ally?

The show itself is not news, but several other shows have been removed from TV because of Christian references (like Veggie Tales). So I was surprised to see a show shown with such strong Christian references. Why do you attack me for pointing that out?
