California legislators are in the process of rolling out what will be the strictest gun control laws in the country. Democrat state Legislatures rolled out a list of proposals that will instantly criminalize most of the state’s law abiding gun owners.

California is getting ready to experience yet another gun ban. This time the ban will make a criminal out of people that own the following types of guns:

Banning the possession of high capacity magazines (10 rounds +). Possession of hollow point and similar style bullets is now a felony. Background checks and permits required for ammunition purchases. Register all ammo purchases. Can’t have over 500 rounds in your possession. All gun owners will require a license and liability insurance. All guns with detachable magazines are banned. All grandfathered magazines will become illegal. Possession will be a felony. Anyone who is not allowed to legally own a weapon cannot live in a home with a weapon. Expanded list of crimes that can prevent you from owning a gun.

They clearly want a totalitarian state where the government has an absolute monopoly on power. Their only hope is in Trump’s Supreme Court justices.

How soon until this one gets kicked to SCOTUS? Appointing Scalia’s replacement ought to be close to the top of President Trump's list of things to repair.

When is Ginsberg resigning and moving to NZ? Weather is turning nice down there. Hopefully, she's researching flights and assisted living arrangements.

Possession of hollow point and similar style bullets is now a felony.

So...for those who may be able to get a ticket to carry in CA and owns a 9mm or .45ACP...they'll HAVE to use FMJ rounds for any self defense carry situations.

Know your target and what's behind it takes on a whole new meaning. Shop owner with FMJ loads shoots a thief wielding a baseball bat who is threatening him or his wife. The round passes through the thief and through the wall behind him and into the shop next door and into or through the other shop owner...or the child of a customer.

Great. All because some Liberal idiot thinks hollow points are cop killers.

They should be preparing a suit as soon as Trump changes the Court.

The only real hope for states like California with regards to Second Amendment rights is to challenge it in court.

Assuming no GOP betrayals in the Senate (highly questionable assumption I know, especially with likely only a 2-seat majority), they can approve any good nominee that Trump nominates to fill Scalia’s seat. But that would still only result in three reliable conservatives on the Sup Court, and even if Roberts stays true, Kennedy couldn’t be counted on to strike down laws like this.

So a challenge might be better if it comes after Trump is able to replace either Kennedy or Ginsburg, or ideally both if we’re lucky enough for them to retire in the next four years. Hopefully the GOP will expand the Senate majority in 2018, making it easier to get more predictably conservative judges confirmed.

I had read something recently about Cali threatening (LOL!) to secede if Trump was elected. I, for one fully support this.

Yeah but since hitlary isn’t in jail for all the crimes she committed, laws don’t apply.

Do these new laws apply to law enforcement personnel too?

If not, why not?

States rights be damned, no state should have the authority to circumvent the Bill of Rights and pass laws that are contrary to our Constitution. It appears the communist liberals in Sacramento are throwing a hissy fit over the Trump victory and are going to punish the constitutional patriots who live in that state. The Bill of Rights was never meant to be a negotiable document to be interpreted on the whim of a state's anti-American communist legislators. Trump and Congress need to put a stop to this kind of crap ASAP.

So soosn they have forgotten 1982 when the PUBLIC rejected Prop 15 to ban handguns in California.

https://ballotpedia.org/California_Proposition_15,_Handgun_Registration_Initiative_(1982)

Since that day, the politicians have been working overtime trying to find ways around the WILL OF THE PEOPLE and ban guns one little nibble at a time.

FYI: http://www.offthegridnews.com/current-events/breaking-california-passes-ammo-permit-fee/

Took the little girl to the range today. Fired a medley of pieces from AR to SKS, semi and bolt action .22s and a Beretta handgun.
She did the old man proud with a couple bullseyes and we worked on her weak hand shooting.

Gun owners and hunters are happy here in IN having passed the constitutional amendment making hunting and fishing a right.
California can go to ....... well, it’s already there.

A new day dawned in America this morning.
