.......I know two or three guys who would have taken the guy down as routinely as breathing and have enjoyed it. In fact, they would have been begging him to get up for rounds 2 through 10.

I’m truly just sorry for this woman. Her picture in the uniform with the regulation hat on suggests she is a fine person who, as she herself said, was just “more scared than she has ever been in her life”. Now, to satisfy BLM, she will likely spend some years in jail away from her family. And, indeed, I have to say, it looks like she may deserve some punishment as killing an unarmed man because your scared of him is not a valid reason.

A lady freeper recently wrote that women have smaller muscles and that makes them scared in situations like this. Bingo! She get’s it. We had a deputy sheriff around here get her gun taken away from her, tied to a bridge abutment and raped. The whole concept of women on the front line of policing is a feminist joke on all of us.

And, I’m one that think women in certain policing situations are better than men and should be “near” the front line....but not on it.

Yes sir. It is a stacked deck on women in combat and they lose. We are heading for a brutal disaster in war.

That video does not tell the whole story.

You know none of the facts. She will be found 'not guilty'.

The video + cops reports = charges of manslaughter.

The video showed actions of all parties involved.

The officers eventually were lined up and made observant witnesses, obscuring the view of the dash camera on the victim.

Where dash cam is stopped is where officers report started.

Manslaughter did not come out of thin air. A lesser charge maybe, but not manslaughter.

.........not so sure and I will tell you why. Through a couple centuries, our Army and Marines have proven their ability to adapt in all out combat situations. They will with women too. Once the shooting starts, the women will fade to the rear where they belong and where they should be anyway. One example of this was Panama. Women in deuce and one halfs refused to drive their trucks into one particular battle area where our troops badly needed the ammo and supplies. The guys simply took over and drove the trucks.

This article describing this I remember was in Time Magazine of all places.

So, this “women in combat” thing is a fad sort of like the hoola hoop and it will eventually fade away. Even sooner if a real all out shooting war breaks out. Women are too smart to drive a truck load of explosives into a combat zone. Only the femi Nazis, safe at home, want them to.

You've read the Officers? If so, where are they as I'd like to read them.

The toxicology report on the dead man will probably have a lot to do with whether this officer is convicted or not.

One thing for sure is, once you've been tasered, it's obviously possible that you could make involuntary movements with your arms or hands that could result in being shot, were those movements made under normal circumstances.

Right now, I'm leaning toward the theory that her finger was on the trigger and thus she accidentally shot the man virtually at the same moment that he was tasered. If she wasn't in fear of her life, she's in big trouble.

It would certainly be a shame if the tasering, and any spastic movements it produced, were then interpreted as justification for the officer to shoot the subject...

I don’t know if he was tasered or not, but I’m inclined to agree, I think she had her finger inside the triggerguard, and shouldn’t have, and shot either by accident or in a reflexive response to a taser shot.

I learned firearm safety as a young kid, starting at age 5. You never put your finger inside the trigger guard until you are ready to fire. Especially in a tense situation like a police standoff, home invasion or any similar situation. I don’t even do it when hunting. even if I look at a firearm in a pawn shop I know is unloaded, I keep my finger outside the trigger guard. I don’t need to dry fire it, if I do check the trigger of a revolver I keep my thumb under the hammer, it’s not good to dry fire a weapon.

I’m wondering about something else too. In this and the shooting in Charlotte, what are the chances both of these guys intended to commit suicide by cop? Both looked too casual to me. From what I could see in this video, he did put his hand down, either to reach inside the vehicle or inside his waistband, it’s not clear from the video.

I’ve had that feeling for the past couple of days though. Suicide by cop?
