The Shredder – World’s Scariest Ammo
Am Shooting Journal ^ | 9/2/2016 | J Hines

Posted on 09/02/2016 5:59:37 AM PDT by w1n1

The guys from Taofledermaus took 12 large, extremely sharp X-Acto blades and loaded them into hi-brass 12gauge shotgun shells. They were hoping to see if the razors would stay intact. These are highly sharpen razor blades wrapped with industrial thread, the whole load is encased inside the 12 gauge shotgun shell.

The threads were meant to hold them in place while in flight, but in this test it didn’t work out. Electrical tape was also used, but with the same result. Various targets were used for testing such as watermelon, the head of a manequin and three large cucumbers. See the full action here.

The dozen projectiles contained within looked like little Sidewinder missiles.

Yup! They do!

I like the bolos. 12ga packed with small metal balls linked with a steel cable as the name suggest.

Wasn't there a French king whose armies used that type of load for their cannon? Cannon balls linked with chain. I don't recall which...Charles VIII maybe?

Good video to show a young man picking up your daughter for a date.

Hand him a copy of "Ten Rules For dating My Daughter"

I like Rule 10, especially the last sentence, but the memory needs to be updated:
Rule Ten:
Be afraid. Be very afraid. It takes very little for me to mistake the sound of your car in the driveway for a chopper coming in over a rice paddy near Hanoi. When my Agent Orange starts acting up, the voices in my head frequently tell me to clean the guns as I wait for you to bring my daughter home. As soon as you pull into the driveways you should exit the car with both hands in plain sight. Speak the perimeter password, announce in a clear voice that you have brought my daughter home safely and early, then return to your car – there is no need for you to come inside. The camouflaged face at the window is mine.

Silly gimmick.

Come up with a real cartridge which is an improvement, such as the 5.7 x 28.

I fired the centurion thru a drywall and 2x4 construct. The .65 ball tore the 2x4 in half and kept on going. Nice.

Chain shot did some of the most stomach turning damage to a pig carcass that I ever have seen. Not even grapeshot topped it.
