Trump threatens to 'tell the real story' about Morning Joe 'clowns'
Politico ^ | 8/22/16 | Nick Gass

Donald Trump laced into the hosts of MSNBC's morning show anew on Monday, accusing one of co-hosts of being "neurotic" and a "mess" and both of them as being "two clowns."

"Tried watching low-rated @Morning_Joe this morning, unwatchable! @morningmika is off the wall, a neurotic and not very bright mess!" Trump tweeted Monday, referring specifically to Mika Brzezinski, in response to the first hour and 20 minutes of MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

Minutes after his initial tweet, Trump offered another personal broadside.

"Some day, when things calm down, I'll tell the real story of @JoeNBC and his very insecure long-time girlfriend, @morningmika. Two clowns!" Trump tweeted, a day after campaign manager Kellyanne Conway insisted that he "doesn't hurl personal insults."

The show offered its usual criticism of the GOP nominee, returning from one commercial break to the tune of "Everything Is Awesome" from "The Lego Movie," as a clip of Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus telling ABC on Sunday that Trump had a "great week" and is "getting into a groove."

"Everything's awesome," Brzezinski said. "Everything's awesome," co-host Joe Scarborough repeated.

Message: Nice little career you have there. Shame if anything were to happen to it. Shot fired.

I wonder if they got the message?

Uh...oh, yeah...the hat...kinda missed that, too. I was busy scrolling down, not up.

Now, she’s not only a hottie, but an intelligent, well-informed & I’m sure, likeable hottie as well. Would love to have a conversation (nothing more, I’m married!) with her.

;^)

Seems like only yesterday, Joe/Mika were slobbering over Trump.

Now they're playing the old Imus game----keep switching sides
depending on the ratings. Imus got cancelled despite the switcheroo.

Joe/Mika are desperately trying to keep the ratings up.

Is there a cancellation in their future.....unless they bash Trump?

Scarborough is loathesome. A demagogue even when he’s right on some issue. He has a VERY bad character as well. And his sudden love of muzzies! Money from Soros, the Saudis or listening to his future father-in-law??

Scarborough has always struck me as an oddball. I thought he was a little slow. He is just a parrot.

Imus always wanted to be ‘in’ with intellectuals - like Dick Cavett, lol! On the other hand, it was he who mentioned that his enemy Scarborough was a disaster at WABC-Radio and that HR was overrun with complaints about him from staffers. I think he lasted two months on that station - he was a complete disaster as a radio personality.

Personally speaking I can’t watch FOX & Friends. LOL it annoys me for some reason.

Same here. I found constant talking over each other very irritating. When off script, I found the FOX to be more informed, with Steve, even after many years, still to be amateurish and shallow...............

Scarborough took over Imus’s old MSNBC show that was shut down after the nappy hair incident. Bad blood all around.

I agree 100%! I don't get why Trump makes petty comments or tweets. All he needs to do is have a laser focus on Crooked Hillary, immigration, healthcare, jobs and the economy. Leave the petty stuff to the bloggers and liberal media.
This should have been a cake walk for the Republicans. If we get Hillary and lose the Senate the Republicans will probably not win another Presidency in most of our lifetimes. The dem senate will go nuclear with the rules and they will shove a radical liberal agenda through. It would not surprise me if Hillary and the senate dems through rule changes and executive actions practically eliminate the need for the house to vote.

Trump tweeted, a day after campaign manager Kellyanne Conway insisted that he "doesn't hurl personal insults."

Good for Trump.

I saw her say that, and immediately thought she needed to be put in her place.

Glad Donald didn't wait long to do so.

Let Trump be Trump.

I don’t know if you can approach this like a popularity contest. I think of popular phenomenons in my life, like the Three Stooges, The Beatles or Tom Petty, beer, or whatever.

A certain percent of people don’t see the appeal, but it would be crazy to try and change the product in order to go after those people.

I understand you need a plurality of votes in enough of the right states to get 270 electoral college votes in order to win. But who’s to say whether the odds of that happening increase or decrease when you start messing with the recipe of whatever Trump’s appeal is.

I think it’s very important Trump stay Trump. Less important that he try to act more presidential in order to reach the unreachables.

With the exception of RR, the left has succeeded in using PC constructs to straightjacket republicans. In order to avoid being accused of being racist, wealthy, or otherwise uncool, republicans will do anything, up to and including throw an election, resign, capitulate, apologize.

Trump is the first republican since RR to reject this recipe for losing, and it’s working! The left is frantically cooking polls, pushing media memes to construct the narrative that it’s NOT working, hoping Trump will be forced to abandon the strategy, or republicans will abandon Trump.

I say stay the course. The usual republican way of trying to get liberals to think they are cool - that is for losers.

Go Trump!

Kellyanne was asked about this very thing on FOX Business this morning. She responded that Trump doesn't throw out the first insult, he only responds to insults and that Morning Joe had spent all this morning bashing him.

In 1992 it was about the economy and Bush’s inability to connect. In 2016 it should be about Trump’s ideas for change; Clinton has none. If it becomes about Trump’s personality we all lose. The media wants it to be about Trump, and not his ideas so we lose. Many women despise Trump but surprisingly like his ideas. They want him to get his comeuppance. Trump needs to humble himself in the sight of the LORD so He might lift him up. Pray without ceasing.

“@morningmika is off the wall, a neurotic and not very bright mess!”

Sounds about right from what I’ve seen of her. Her boyfriend Joe tends to treat her that way too. He’s always talking over her and dominating the conversations.

“I’ll tell the real story of @JoeNBC and his very insecure long-time girlfriend, @morningmika”

Doesn’t Trump know that you’re not supposed to talk about open secrets? After all, just because his affair with Marla Maples was treated like the biggest news story in the world doesn’t mean Joe and Mika should get any bad publicity for their extramarital affair that broke up their marriages and harmed their families. “Very insecure” and “neurotic”? I wonder what sort of dirt Trump has on Mika?

I do think it would be better for him if he stuck to going after Hillary and occasionally Obama, along with some general broadsides about how dishonest and misleading the press is. But I think this one is personal for Trump. He used to be friends with these two bozos for years. During the primaries they were pretty fair to him, and Joe indicated that he’d be willing to serve as Trump’s VP (as if he would be asked!). Now with orders from the MSNBC bosses they’ve done a 180 in regard to Trump, and Trump obviously resents it. I can’t blame him. They are the worst sort of partisan shills.

Imus has his faults but I don’t think it was bad blood - he had the truth on Scarborough.

I’m tired of people talking about cakewalks. I’ve lived through a lot of elections and not one of them has been a cakewalk. Life doesn’t work like that.

Go, Trump, go!!!
