In an interview with Hugh Hewitt today, Donald Trump hinted that he is seriously considering John Bolton as Secretary State.
Bolton would be a very good choice, second only to Newt Gingrich, in my opinion.
In the audio, below, beginning around the 3:00 mark, The Donald makes this surprise announcement.
Trump was quick to point out that making the announcement too early subjects the candidate to an invasive media rectal exam, poking and probing to generate sensational news at the expense of the candidate, which is true. It is smart to make cabinet appointment announcements after the election.
Responding to Hewitt’s probing regarding naming Bolton as Secretary of State now, The Donald declared, “I think John Bolton’s a good man. I watched him yesterday, actually, and he was very good in defending me in some of my views, and very, very strong, and I’ve always liked John Bolton. Well, we are thinking about it, Hugh. I will say that. We are thinking about it. I mean, the negative is what I told you. But we are seriously thinking about it.”
Yes. Bolton needs to be somewhere. SoS would be excellent.

Trump needs to pick someone who doesn’t have the overpowering stink of Bush on him, and someone who isn’t just a recycled neo-con artist.
For me that is why I will vote Trump. I believe he will surround himself with right people that can get a job done

Yes, Bolton would be the perfect choice. I’d also like to see Ted Nugent as Secretary of the Interior. Most people don’t know of his passion for the outdoors. Plus there would be the additional benefit of seeing liberals going absolutely berserk.
I like Bolton too but I must remind myself to be careful what you wish for.
He will choose Hillary Clinton as she had done a wonderful job before..... : )
Agreed, anyone associated with the Bush crime family or Mittens should be ruled out, and Bolton is too close to both.
VDH SAID GET OUT OF THE MIDDLE EAST. I’M with Rubio. We can then turn our attention to Latin America. Castro’s are old, Venezuela’s is ripe for revolution. Brazil is a basket case, so is Argentina. Get Britan out of the Falklands, independence for Puerto Rico. Use the uninhibited islands for penal colonies. Trump will have a place to dump the ms-13 and norteno types.
1st and 2nd choice should be:
1) Bolton
2) Bolton’s mustache
