“Women who get pregnant on active duty should be dismissed with a less-than-honorable discharge, and be ineligible for any military benefits.”

They should get such a discharge, but they won’t. However, that isn’t entirely my point.

I believe unit cohesion relies on high retention and a high level of combat readiness. If you have a company that is 50/50 male female, it is unrealistic to believe that will happen. If half of the women get pregnant you are at a measly 75% combat readiness at any given time. That is assuming that the majority of the 50% women were draftees who never really wanted to be there in the first place.

Horsehockey. You know as well as I do that women are totally useless in combat yet every time we have an article concerning women in the service, we have the faint-hearted “men” who quail at being drafted themselves pushing it for women.

I am heartily sick of the cowardly males we have in our country. They are only too happy to let ladies serve in their place.

See? I did read that guy’s comment correctly.

Just keeping hiding behind your skirts and you’ll be safe enough.

Unlike the movies, combat requires killing and being killed. Man’s work, always has been. Women have supported their families and their nation by doing those actions necessary to support the combatants and done those actions well. Plenty of support well worth being considered fully franchised citizens.

You, however were hiding somewhere when the men were called to fight, right? Should we take your right to vote away?

“Just keeping hiding behind your skirts and you’ll be safe enough.”

So when are you going to actually address my point?

Because all you are doing is posting a string of cliched mangina cheese trying to make you out to be some tough dude when the only thing you are proclaiming is how much of a state slave to women you are willing to be.

Now AGAIN, are you willing to advocate for women to relinquish the vote so that MEN that are sent off to fight have the decision to shape the government that has the power to do so, or are you cool with 50% of the population having no responsibilities but an equal right to send YOU to go die?

A simple YES or NO will work since you keep going off on a tangent.

Just because that person has two breasts and a vagina does not mean they are special magical beings.

There are plenty of stories of guys overseas that came home to a cleaned-out house and divorce papers (and dont get me started on your average millennial female), so dont give me this yarn about how these are all a bunch of fair medians keeping the home fires burning.

This isnt 1860.

To address your point, women and men and even those halfway in between, such as yourself, are full citizens and therefore should and do have the right to vote.

I served in combat, 17 months worth and another seven months in a hospital recovering. We were somewhat less than a few percent of all the available males - so, what - the rest of you shouldn’t be able to vote because all of you stayed home and left the rest of us to fight?

Women serve at home just as ably as all of those non-serving males, like you.

Yep. I totally agree with you. That's why I think women should not be in the military at all.

How many women do you think would want to enter, or remain in, the military, if being in the military carried with it the likelihood of being assigned to a combat zone?

So, Mr. Mangina, that would be:

No. I’m happy with them having the right to vote with none of the responsibilities.

We are talking about the draft here. You know, where you don’t have a choice? If I’m subjected to it, then I have the right to construct the government via my vote since it is the one that has the legal right to send me. If women aren’t subjected to it, then they have no business voting in the matters of state PERIOD.

I don’t care if you crossed the Delaware with Gen. Washington. The moment you talk like some half-assed male feminist, you have my permission to stop lecturing. Like what is your point? They aren’t fit for national service, but they are perfectly fit to vote for people to send you to do it?

“but they change diapers, that means they are part of the fight!!”

Thanks, I really value THAT philosophy.

Wow! You’re a real piece of work aren’t you?

Hopefully someone’s around you to keep you away from sharp objects.

This nation doesn’t draft anyone. It hasn’t for decades now so the title implication (”What kind of nation drafts women and sends them to war?”) that we’re pulling 18-19-20 year old women out of their sophomore year of college to go fight in Iraq and Afghanistan against their will is completely disingenuous.

Excellent article and 100% correct. We better pray that Trump is elected as I expect him to kill this idea soon after being elected. Also, every military leader who supports drafting women and women in combat units needs to be purged post haste.

Try to ignore VanDeKoik. He would probably be fine if his daughter had to sign up for the Selective Service like men. He’s 100% dumbass.

Yeah.

That is just another one of your goofy swipes that you’ve been pushing to hide the weakness of your argument.

Now stop acting like some white night for the ladies and actually think about what I said, because you haven’t even tried to discount any of it.

Deep down you know I’m right.

“Yep - and a lot of supposed conservative here on FR were saying we needed to do it to “teach the activists a lesson or be fair”.”

To remind lefties that voting democrat has consequences that can directly affect them in a negative way. I had to prove I had registered for the Draft a couple of times to maintain my clearance and my job. I had to update Selective Service with change-of-address information until they finally told me to stop because I was too old.

So yet another one of these simps that are too chicken $hit to address the glaring problem of women having the right to vote, but none of the responsibilities.

If she wants to vote, then she should have a stake in the game, not the power to send the boy next door off while she gets to stay comfy at home.

Apparently you guys can’t answer that and need to tell each other to run off to your safe space, where such “problematic” questions dont need to be answered.

The only 100% dumbasses are the pretend tough dudes that are just thirsty for the first chance to “impress” some girl with how willing they are to take a bullet for them.

Your inane posts on this matter are really not worth getting worked up over. I am confident in the intelligence of most on FR who are dead set against having their daughters sign up for the Draft. Or as my AF Vet father use to say, there’s always a turd in the punchbowl.

“Your inane posts on this matter are really not worth getting worked up over.”

Because you have no answer. It isnt hard.

That is why you’ve done nothing but give a bunch of blowhard replies that amount to “I dont wanna answer”, and then make goofy appeals to faux masculinity hoping that most people on FR dont actually know how to think on their own and just grunt “must protect boobs and vaginas, because me man”.

The only thing you are dead set against is confronting females on the contradiction of having the ability to vote to shape the government to send the other 50% off to protect them.

When you grow a pair to finally address this, then get back to me.

Yeah, I sort of figured that part out. Given his weird and frankly sexually-dysfunctional statements, my gaydar went off on his first few comments.

His Mom needs to put a stronger lock on his basement door.
