Rush Limbaugh today on his radio show looks ahead to what happens if Ted Cruz actually succeeds with his plan to wrestle the nomination away from Donald Trump on the 2nd or 3rd ballot of a contested Republican Convention. I don’t blame these radio shows for doing such things. How else can they babble on for 3 hours.
I find a good amount of the comments on these websites very insightful. Often much more than the article that is being commented on.

The convention is going to happen, whether it is forced or voluntary. After all, it is called the Republican Convention. And it happens every 4 years.

Trump most current statements tells you he is not a principled conservative, but a pragmatic one...

Every district needs to do what mine did and Cantorize their multi-national weasel.
Cruz plans on having a second vote or more and thereby show off the delegate votes and support that he helped steal/wrangle/twist arms to get with favors and cash from donors etc. What a rotten system we have. I honestly wish I had known this before I went to war and was shot twice.

Rush..I remember your TV show in 1994 and how you ran reruns the week before the vote on the Clinton gun (assault weapons) ban. You refused to touch that issue with a 10 foot pole...COWARD!
I haven't trusted you since, and to those who are too young to remember, the ban passed by like 2 votes and we suffered under it for 20 years.
I’ll get some flak on this but I think Rush has been fair to both and Cruz. He is friendly with Trump and respected Cruz. But the time has come to dump Cruz and Rush knows it too. One thing you never hear is a Trump supporter going over to Cruz LOL
Being a historian, this is sooooo similar to what the Whigs did in the late 1840s/early 1850s: they ignored slavery and ignored it and wouldn’t stop the Dems until finally people said, “NEW PARTY!”
Cruz is a whack job who has no damn chance of getting the delegates to win outright. He is a narcissistic, histrionic, Pentecostal whack job, and; a liar like his father. Perhaps he can tell the females at the convention about his debate in college with a female promoting multiple hymens for women.
It will be interesting to see who resigns effective 2016 or decides not to run for re-election after (if) Trump wins the nomination in Cleveland...

First let me say that if Trump wins the nomination, I’ll vote for him.
Secondly, seeing all the other comments on this thread makes me wonder about the commitment to “unity” that JimRob has talked about. By that I mean this:
-If Trump gets the nomination, we should all get behind him and defeat Hillary.
however...
-If Cruz gets the nomination on 2nd, 3rd (or whatever) ballot, then everyone here will not unify behind him?
Do ya’ll realize that by doing that, you’re handing the election to the Duchess of Stalingrad?
In other words, #NeverTrump gives the election to Hillary just as #NeverCruz does.
And to those who protest by saying “If Cruz gets nominated, we’re screwed anyway”....What will you actually do when Hildabeast is inaugurated? Will you leave the country....or just complain?
I’m not saying this to be mean, I honestly would like answers here.
