The University Administration acted swiftly, as well it should. Did the administration have a real appreciation of freedom of speech, or did it simply toss the cops under the bus when it got push back from alumni donors?

“and the cop that issued the citation, Officer David Turppa, was suspended for a week without pay.”
Should have fired his fascist ass.

"There's a no-weapons policy here.
It's not a weapon.
I understand that..." At that point, I'm afraid I would have asked the intellectual giant in uniform just what made him think he was qualified to carry a weapon since he obviously have to take several classes at the University to raise his IQ to mere room temperature.

Not just the gun was criminalized, but also the thought of the gun.
They have criminalized thoughts and are using the police to prosecute.
Fascism.

A story correction: this incident occurred in Mobile, at the University of South Alabama. The story erroneously makes it appear that this happened in Tuscaloosa.

Thank you for the clarification and correction.

Time to demand that no federal funds or loans for students who go to schools that allow hate, intolerance and discrimination.
The Boy Scouts weren’t even allowed to use public property because they were so intolerant they wouldn’t allow their boys to camp with homosexuals.
Intolerance is intolerance.
To: alancarp
Well, that’s a relief.

Ping to the state list.
I’m sorry for the late ping. I was teaching and couldn’t get to it.
