That National Enquirer Ted Cruz "bombshell" confirmed a huge nothingburger
Twitter ^ | 2/24/2016 | Some guy who took a picture

Posted on 03/24/2016 3:53:37 PM PDT by 20yearsofinternet

Link goes directly to picture of the article that's good enough to read.

FULL Disclosure: I'm not a Cruz supporter, but I hate this kind of sleaze and I'm hoping that we can put this to rest before it gets submitted 500 times.

The entire article is based off of the threat from a hoax "Anonymous" account on Twitter, which later turned out to be a RickRoll (all related tweets have since been deleted). I am pretty sure the "details" are actually lifted from replies to the original tweet, LOL. Since they're deleted, I can't be sure. Point being, it was all a hoax and there's nothing there at all, and that's what the article is based off of.

Anyway, just wanted to put it out there that it's typical NE trash, not one of their once-per-decade real bombshells.

Carry on with the War of the Wives. :)

as the discussion going around the interwebz, the most damning thing against Cruz is that there are FIVE pictured women.

those women would not have been pictured if there was not a discussion with those women with the publisher, NE is already cautious after gawker

I’d wager this has legs and traction

Trump and the Nat. Enquirer chief are buddies? (10/2015)

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2015/10/trumps-alliance-with-the-national-enquirer.html

“Trump and Enquirer CEO David Pecker have been friends for years. “They’re very close,” said a source close to the Enquirer. In July 2013, Trump even tweeted that Pecker should become CEO of Time magazine, which at the time was being spun off from its corporate parent, Time Warner. “He’d make it exciting and win awards!”

This person also said that Trump’s campaign was a source for the article: “His campaign provided information that was used,” he explained. A Trump friend said that in the days leading up to the article’s publication Trump was telling people that Carson “had a lot of medical malpractice suits” and “almost killed a guy.”

Trump’s spokesperson, Hope Hicks, told me “there’s absolutely no truth” to the claim Trump was behind the article. When I asked the Enquirer for comment, Pecker said it was “utterly false” that the Trump campaign was their source. “

As of yet, I have not found a linkable source besides twitter as to the information that Ben Shales of GQ said that it was Jeff Roe that ordered the Melania Ad shoot pic. I will continue for a bit more.

In all fairness they probably have/will run a ton of stories from every woman
who batted an eyelash at Donald Trump too.

**************

They ran one last month on five of the candidates from both parties regarding boozing...

This sells at the checkout line.

-—Many of his supporters came to him BECAUSE they cannot tolerate supporting any candidate with any history of immorality.

During and before Iowa (I just found FR just before Iowa), I saw several posters saying they couldn’t support Donald because he was divorced.

Some folks replied that RR was divorced and I think the general response to that was that RR didn’t cheat.

I couldn’t find the thread to save my soul I’m sure, or the specific post, so someone will call me out and tell me I’m a liar unless I provide the actual link to the actual response to the actual post to the actual time and day and minute it happened, but you get the idea.

Teddy Haskell is not as squeaky clean as he claimed he was. A smudge of dirt on a pristine white dress shows up a lot more than a smudge of dirt on a plaid dress.

Anonymous said they were going to release their information to news agencies and I think may have eluded to having DNA evidence.

I hope everyone realizes that if you are going with Trump, you’ve also got Alex Jones and Roger Stone. Expect some more crap pies.

You’re wrong. I know several people who had thought about supporting the Donald until I informed them about his affairs. They had no idea. Some older people really don’t do the internet, aren’t really into all of it.

What is interesting, is that I got home from work and Googled "Ted Cruz Affair".

I found the story on The Conservative Treehouse:
http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2016/03/24/beans-national-enquirer-runs-story-of-multiple-ted-cruz-affairs/#comments

Remember the scandal of Rathergate and the supposedly old memo created on Microsoft word, and the .gif files, morphing between the CBS docs and a Word doc?

Well, in the comments section to the article, there is a comment with two pictures which morph between known women, and the Enquirer's photos which have the eyes blocked out with squares.

One of the women so depicted, is Pierson, and the other is Amanda Carpenter.

Unfortunately the choice comes down to Alex Jones and Roger Stone or Glen Beck and so on (mormons?)

Absolutely. Cruz has a lot of supporters who feel he is the only “moral” choice and even gone so far as to accuse Christian Trump supporters backsliders, unChristian and would have to answer to God for this sinful lapse of poor judgement. I guess we will all see how this plays out.
