I was on the rifle team in college for four years. Our practice range was on the top floor of the Admin Bldg. Never heard a complaint, but that was 40 years ago.

Too bad she wasn’t at our grade school. We carried guns to school so we could hunt on the way home. That was 60 some years ago though and we were just little rednecks then.

Geez. You must be old as rocks. :)

Barrage balloons, for low-flying aircraft. Though I've heard they also make dandy personal flotation devices...

It's been almost 50 years but I went to U of Az, a "land grant" school on former federal/military land.
IIRC, availability of ROTC was a requirement for use.
Am I wrong?
Did things change?

Heidi Czerwiec: nutter extraordinaire; typical college professor; parasite of humanity; parasite of the North Dakota taxpayers; beneficiary of Federal student loans galore.

(After reading below, can you imagine taking out a student loan and getting a degree in whatever this sick woman teaches and then trying to go out and get a job?)

http://www.heidiczerwiec.com/

“Hello, and thanks for stopping by my site. Let me introduce you to my work.

My new collection, Self-Portrait as Bettie Page (Barefoot Muse, 2013), is a sonnet sequence that negotiates the relationship between formal poetics, bondage/discipline, and female identity through the figure of elusive 1950s pinup Bettie Page, whose own identity was a series of costumes.

I recently completed a poetry manuscript, Maternal Imagination, which represents the female perspective on the monstrous body, since so many of the texts attribute fault to the mother: her imagination, accusations of sex with demons or animals, and even contemporary issues like thalidomide. I am also expanding into translation and creative nonfiction, and it’s both scary and exciting to flex new writing muscles.”

She abuses 911 that way and she’ll be the one going to jail.

Almost all states and localities have laws against "abuse of 911". However, "swatting" (calling police on fear of a gun) is hinted as being encouraged, because "everybody knows" this gives the "law enforcers" a wink to go ahead and kill those people who own and carry guns due to the "loophole" of the Second Amendment.

While only a few federal LEOs, and almost none in the non-federal ranks approve or encourage "swatting", they keep silent, because they still have to make a living.

The high-ranking federal "czars" are just waiting for some dumb schmuck to become the unintentional poster child for "swatting gone bad".

[Heidi Czerwiec described the panic she felt when she looked up from her office computer to see “two figures in camo with guns” outside her window.]

Heidi, sign up for a sabbatical in Brussels. If you return, I know you would have a new appreciation for the 2nd Amendment.
