Go away troll.

Why is Auslander a troll for asking a valid question that I bet a lot of people are asking themselves considering the animosity here? And your knee jerk response kind of proves the point. Are the Cruz supporters going to spend the next four years harping on Trump, if Trump wins? And God help us if somehow Cruz pulls out a victory. With another three months to the convention I cringe at how ugly it might get here.

"Spin it however you wish, “conservatives” will likely make him or break him in the general.

No spin. Conservatives are not monolythic.

Nor do the Shiite Conservatives represent enough of the population of the US to overcome the rest of the patriots of all stripes.

Time will tell. The general also depends on who is running on both sides and what world events are happening.

Financial crisis? Advantage Trump over Bernie or Hillary.
Terrorist attack? Advantage Trump over Bernie or Hillary.

I believe we will have more than one incident of each between now and then.

“If there was ever a politician that fits the moniker “a loose canon ball in the back of a station wagon” donnie is it. He should never be trusted with the keys to the White House.”

I am sure you prefer the eGOP, a nice package of predictable politics screwing over America and Americans.

Sorry, we want a leader. You ain’t it, so we’ll go with Trump. Do try to keep up.

I voted for Goldwater in ‘4...one of the very few Rs I would still call conservative.

Would have voted JFK, maybe, if I had voted that time.
Also voted bush one time...ignorance...Dr Paul and Gov Johnson...the one from NM!

Likely will vote 4-Mr. Trump....not only because he’s the only choice, I might even vote him if there was another choice involved.

Semper America 4-Americans!

I am Cruz/Trump.

State after State are certifying Ted Cruz to run for President of the United States.

I will support and defend Cruz till Trump secures the nomination.

I've seen both ways: Never Trump! -- Never Cruz!

I am not one of those.

I would vote Trump only if he had a conservative VP.

I despise one of them, and am less than thrilled with the other, but I would gladly vote for either or both to beat Sanders or Clinton.

I’d vote for either ticket. Hillary must be stopped. The Supreme Court and the future of our country depend on that.

If no state deems Ted Cruz ineligible through the Primaries, no matter how much Trump supporters scream, it's a done deal.

Since Cruz got a smaller percent of the Nov 2012 vote in Texas than mediocre Mitt did, what would change the calculus nationwide?

It wasn't that much smaller--Romney won Texas 57% to 41% for Obama, while Cruz beat his Democratic opponent 56.6% to 40.5%. Cruz and Mitt were running against different opponents, Mitt's being a president who had become very unpopular among much of the electorate in Texas. I doubt if Cruz's opponent, a former legislator, generated as much visceral opposition.

In 2016, Cruz has won nine states and has tens of thousands of motivated volunteers eagerly working for him.

I prefer Trump-Cruz since Trump brought most of the voters out in the states that count. I don’t approve of some of Cruz’s tactics but if they can join forces and keep the GOP from manipulating the outcome, I’ll go with it.

I wouldn’t want Cruz on the Supreme Court, not after his statements on Chicago. He as a constitutional conservative and a fellow republican had an obligation to support what was right and to put aside personal feeling. He could not do that.

Cruz comments upset me more than the mob of thugs that ambushed me :(
