Donald Trump: The Least Charitable Billionaire In The World
News Examiner ^ | 8/15 | Ben Davis

How miserly is The Donald?

From 1990 through 2009, Trump has personally donated a total of just $3.7 million to his foundation, which was incorporated in 1987. In fact, the billionaire is not even the largest contributor to his own charitable organization.

Tax returns show that World Wrestling Entertainment has given Trump’s foundation a total of $5 million in return for the developer’s assistance in working a couple of televised angles along with WWE boss Vince McMahon. The WWE gave Trump’s foundation $4 million in 2007 for his help in promoting that year’s WrestleMania festivities, and another $1 million in 2009, when Trump (pictured below with McMahon) pretended to purchase part of the WWE empire.

The real estate titan’s foundation has also banked $205,000 from media outlets and supermarket tabloids in return for exclusive photos (People magazine, for example, paid the foundation $150,000 in 2006 for the first shots of Trump’s newborn son Barron).

During the past two decades, the Trump foundation has made charitable contributions totaling a paltry $6.7 million.

Helmsley, by comparison, gave $5 million to the American Red Cross when New Orleans was submerged, and, post-9/11, she gave $5 million to the New York Police and Fire Widows and Children*s Benefit Fund.

In 2006, Trump’s foundation did give $1000 to the New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Fund, a controversial Scientology program (co-founded by Tom Cruise) that promoted a *purification rundown* for firemen and others who inhaled toxins while working near the smoldering remains of the World Trade Center.

Maybe Trump feels that he doesn’t need to give, since the gubmint gives so generous on our — the taxpayers’ — behalf. Maybe a lot of people feel that way.

and to add to what you have already said:

DJT has put more on the line than the rest of the candidates put together.

When they said their lives, their fortunes and sacred honor, they meant it. Many of these current candidates will still have a comfy political seat for life if they fail. Those who don’t will have a lobbying position awaiting them, so they can continue to screw us over, albeit without a title.

He is putting his family name, which is his brand, on the line...built over a lifetime of work. That takes real guts, to put your fortune on the line, because you so fear what’s happening to your country.

It’s sickening to watch these basement-dwelling internet commandos go after a private citizen running for office, which is exactly what the founders wanted to happen.

And I’m supposed to believe they are purists worthy of the founders, right?

Yeah...and Warren Buffet (hillary supporter) gave his money to Bill Gates foundation...most “charities” these days are just tax avoidance trading cards for the wealthiest.

So, Donald, being wise in the 5-W’s RE: his OWN $$$ = cheap.

IMO, it’s HIS $$ to do with as he wishes; do with yours as you see fit.

I, for one, am tired of the ‘charitable’ moniker when govt makes ME a slave by picking MY pockets for the benefit of another WITHOUT *MY* say.

Who’s ‘cheapest’: Trump whom voluntarily gives, or govt that steals?

Yes Trump is such an Ahole that he’s the only person who sent Sgt Tahmooressi a check to get his life back together after getting out of that Mexican hellhole.

Yes Trump is such a cheap Ahole that he paid off a couple’s mortgage once just because they stopped to help him when his car broke down.

Yes Trump is such a cheap Ahole that he helped an Atlanta businessman pay off a Georgia lady’s farm mortgage so she would not lose the place after her husband died.

I would submit to you highrollers on FR that $6.7 million in charity is a good chunk of change.

Trump also promotes causes and raises money from others for charity which is fine.

Try This

This is worth sending out

We are coming upon the season when we are asked to open our hearts and our wallets, as well we should, but please help those who are in need not those who want to bloat their salaries in the name of charity.

THINK BEFORE YOU DONATE!
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT BEFORE YOU MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS: As you open your pockets to do a good thing and make yourself feel good, please keep the following facts in mind:

The American Red Cross
President and CEO Marsha J. Evans’
salary for the year was $651,957 plus expenses

MARCH OF DIMES
It is called the March of Dimes because
only a dime for every 1 dollar is given to the needy.

The United Way
President Brian Gallagher
receives a $375,000 base salary along with numerous expense benefits.

UNICEF
CEO Caryl M. Stern receives
$1,200,000 per year (100k per month) plus all expenses including a ROLLS ROYCE.
Less than 5 cents of your donated dollar goes to the cause.

GOODWILL
CEO and owner Mark Curran profits $2.3 million a year.
Goodwill is a very catchy name for his business.
You donate to his business and then he sells the items for PROFIT.
He pays nothing for his products and pays his workers minimum wage! Nice Guy.
$0.00 goes to help anyone!
Stop giving to this man.

Instead, give it to ANY OF THE FOLLOWING
GO “GREEN” AND PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE IT WILL DO SOME GOOD:

The Salvation Army
Commissioner, Todd Bassett receives a small salary of only
$13,000 per year(plus housing) for managing this $2 billion dollar organization.
96 percent of donated dollars go to the cause.

The American Legion
National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary.
Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

The Veterans of Foreign Wars
National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary.
Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

The Disabled American Veterans
National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary.
Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

The Military Order of Purple Hearts
National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary.
Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

The Vietnam Veterans Association
National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary.
Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

Make a Wish: For children’s last wishes.
100% goes to funding trips or special wishes for a dying child.

St. Jude Research Hospital
100% goes towards funding and helping Children with Cancer who have no insurance and cannot afford to pay.

Ronald McDonald Houses
All monies go to running the houses for parents who have critically ill Children in the hospital.
100% goes to housing, and feeding the families.

Lions Club International
100% OF DONATIONS GO TO HELP THE BLIND, BUY HEARING AIDES, SUPPORT MEDICAL MISSIONS AROUND THE WORLD. THEIR LATEST UNDERTAKING
IS MEASLES VACCINATIONS (ONLY $1.00 PER SHOT).

Please share this with everyone you can.

Vincent McGowan, who has been with the organization since its inception in 1983 and currently sits on its board, says that if it wasn’t for Trump, the project in lower Manhattan would have never happened.

McGowan says the property downtown was gifted to the veterans by the Koch administration but they had no money. Trump committed $1M in a matching fund and they “couldn’t have built it without him.”

Matthew 6:3 “But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.” Your accusation and request for transparency is not smiled upon by the LORD God who has blessed Trump.

He is probably very good at keeping the giving under wraps. Is he funding evil? What is the fruit of his work?

“So he has donated what, $350 thousand per year?”

Since the story you posted claims no one really know, why try to state such things as fact? Do you not know what a fact is? Are you a liberal that only goes by “feeeeelings”??

But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doth - Matt 6:3
Doesn’t it seem a bit hypocritical to complain that Trump does not trumpet his own charitable donations?
