GOPe Attempting to Award Consolation Prize to Paul Ryan- When It's Surely Not Theirs to Give
Reaganite Republican ^ | 10 October 2015 | Reaganite Republican

"There is nobody in modern politics whose record and true priorities
are more divorced from their rhetoric and public perception"

We who ran Boehner back to his whiskey bottle/country club in Cincinnati now hold veto power, unless the pro-amnesty Ryan
would be so brazen as to invite Democrats' votes, insuring that an open-borders advocate leads the GOP on Capitol Hill...

And all this fuss because a handful of us mean, nasty TEA Partiers won't give poor Eddie Munster a break? That 'nobody' is
good enough for us, and somehow this minuscule 'fringe' is putting the kibosh on 'reasonable' Republicans' good intentions?

Paul Ryan -who was less than impressive on the 2012 Romney ticket, and who sports a lousy 58% Conservative Rating-
joined Obama in expanding government and quashing freedom as much as anybody else has,
doubling the size of the already-bloated National Debt in the process.

This cheesehead wonk actually loves big government,
supporting such ill-advised initiatives as:

And as Trump and Cruz have amply demonstrated, immigration is THE dominant issue on voters' minds...
We The People have never ceased to make it thoroughly clear we don't wan't the sort of big government 'solutions' this pro-amnesty 'conservative' fraud has on-offer.

What part of 'give us a conservative' don't they understand?

It’s amazing to watch this in October of 2015. The Republicans can’t find any common ground beyond fifty-percent of the membership. There’s such a huge dislike of the Republican National HQ’s....that anything they endorse....is a joke. Does anyone wonder why Trump and Carson have such fantastic numbers now?

Agreed mostly, but don’t Trump, Cruz, and Carson supporter add up to more than 50%...?

Seems to me the intra-party tide has turned, and 55-60% of Republicans have joined our cause... it’s the RINOs who can no longer muster a majority

The GOPe is all into “Let them eat cake” mode at we peasants who are the base.

It’s time to assemble the guillotines IMHO.

Depending on the state...Tea Party enthusiasts run anywhere from 30-percent to 60-percent. As in the case of Nevada...they can probably dig up near the max of sixty-percent. But the RINO-crowd and Democrats can band together and re-elect Harry (he won’t be running in the next election having decided enough was enough).

Right now, both Trump and Carson probably share seventy-percent of the Alabama Republican voter share. Trump can say he’ll give a speech in some arena and there will be 20,000 people show up. I think Carson can easily draw 5,000 people.

For Bush, the Republican Nat’l HQ’s, and the lobbyists...it’s a harsh reality. Their time should come after eight years of the Obama administration. Instead, no one believes their story-line. Even Fox News have lost their edge and people have walked away from them.

I never thought I’d regard Fox as so untrustworthy

I’m a Cruz guy but here’s yet another thing Trump’s accomplished beneficial to the right... fully exposed Fox for what they are

And they ain’t one of us- except maybe Hannity and Guilfoyle

Oh I think Fox News served their purpose and ours....and 2015 came with some realities. People move on, and so Fox News might not be part of our future viewing habits. I do admit that if there is some sudden emergency or breaking news item...I do prefer Shep Smith more than anyone else because he doesn’t treat it like some freak show or throw in gossip/bogus information.

If Carson and Trump weren’t in the mix...Cruz and Walker would be the two hammering this out in the primary. I think the public’s perception of the US being a 1971-Ford-Pinto requires something beyond the typical political guy, and they want something that of a miracle. I have doubts that either can deliver that miracle, but hey....this is reality of 2015. People can elect an Illinois part-time Senator with a eight-line resume who was a big-time pothead in his teens...thinking he can reshape the broken mess, and they were wrong. So it may be the Republican time to duplicate the same thinking.

No one on Fox is pure conservative....Hannity plays PC on race incessantly

Guilfoyle runs GOPe too mostly but not like Perino

But God love her

I watch them closely....I think underneath Heather Childers....southern gal with a big story is likely a social conservative of the first order

None of the rest

It’s surprising how uninformed so many are

I swear I thought irritating voice Gutfeld was a fag for two years

Guilfoyle is comfortable with men though I like that

I bet Beckel self destructs cut loose like he is

He loved her boy you could tell

They are the backstabbers of all backstabbers. They lie their asses off every two years and go home and act like the conservatives we want them to be. When they get elected they do what they damned well please - which is appease Obama and the Democrats while they’re busy raking of money for their pet projects and filling their pockets to boot.

They (leadership) even have classes on how to go home and lie like a pro - probably gives them talking points and insert-your-name-here speeches.

The old guard (and some new) are accomplished liars and schemers and they vehemently protect their power. And when they do retire, or get thrown out, they NEVER go home - they stay in DCisneyland working as a K-street lobbyist or other crony interest concern cast member.

They are an evil, despicable lot devoid of character and honor.

You are so right. MARSHA BLACKBURN, in my opinion is the brilliant answer to the “Speaker dilemma”. She is smart, tough, and she is CONSERVATIVE. And how do the GOPe members refuse to vote for a woman for speaker without further alienating their voters back home?...I keep reading her name put forth more and more—hoping it becomes a groundswell and that she is willing to take the gavel!

Trish Regan is the closest thing to a Conservative that I’ve seen on FOX.

The problem is there are only 50 or so conservative republicans in the House. Its hard to get a real conservative elected Speaker. Chaffetz is the closest you will get.

I like Marsha Blackburn's stance on Immigration and facing up to Islamic Jihad.
I just wish she would go the final step on undertanding the Islamic threat and stop referring to the fundamental practitioners of Islam as Radicals.
It is the religion itself that is the problem.

Would you refer to a Christian who helps out a stranger by doing a Good Samaritan deed as a "Radical Christian? -Tom

Ryan is a puke.
If they go the “interim” Speaker route I like Candice Miller of Fla. She is leaving and could be as strong as we want her to be.
OR maybe we just don’t need a Speaker. We haven’t had a budget for 7 years so what’s the big deal?
