I’m thinking that if all the class rushed at the same time it would confuse the shooter and make him reflex and spoil his aim. Classes might want to get together at the beginning of each semester and pre-plan.

You have a good idea. Even though he has the gun, he was outnumbered. If a group of people were able to act in unison, they could overwhelm an armed gunman.
If the alternative is certain death as he shoots everyone one by one, the outcome couldn’t be any worse if everyone were trained to rush the gunman.

I didn’t see that the article and I don’t see that the Christian faith tells you not to defend yourself. The man who walked towards the shooter and was shot 5-7 times was literally laying down his life for others. That’s the core Christian belief. But the question is, if I had been there, would I have professed my faith knowing that I would be shot?

Well. Christ told his disciples to “sell their cloak & buy a
sword”. Yeshua (Christ) was NOT a wimp. The Roman soldiers
didn’t kill Him until he was READY & knew the time was right. - He had already walked right through them when they
were after him.

Look at most classrooms. Many times there's only one door. Students are trapped. If there's only one shooter, unless he's got an automatic weapon (and most recent killers have only been armed with handguns), then he is susceptible to being rushed and taken.
Some students throw objects at him, and some rush. If four or five male students charge the shooter using their desks for shields, one or two should be able to get to him.
What is the other choice? Sit there and wait to be shot. Obviously, when bullets start flying, if there is no plan, many people are going to be killed. Even if things are planned, it's risky. But I'd rather rush than sit there and take a bullet.

I agree with your will (and RIGHT) to fight. But, before you close your assessment of true Christianity, remember that our Christian Founding Fathers fought a Revolutionary War.
