The Daily Caller News Foundation has obtained Office Depots explanation for why it refused to serve a woman who wanted to print 500 anti-Planned Parenthood flyers.
Maria Goldstein, 42, of Illinois requested the flyers Aug. 20, but an employee refused, citing corporate policy. Goldstein said she is being discriminated against because of her religious beliefs and obtained legal counsel.
Office Depot has stood by its refusal and says in the letter that it refused because the flyer is graphic and hate speech that persecutes those who support abortion rights. Office Depot says it has nothing to do with the womans religious beliefs, but she disagrees.
When I tell people theyre shocked because this is America, Goldstein told TheDCNF Thursday. Office Depot is trying to silence my freedom of speech and my freedom of religion.
Goldstein has teamed up with the religious liberty group the Thomas More Society. They told TheDCNF they will likely file a legal complaint if Office Depot does not comply.

uh....and this is different from Cake Baking, Photo shoots, or Flowers arrangements how?
If I was a lawyer I would give her a call.
What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. We can’t fight with our arms tied behind our backs and hope to win. As much as I’d like to see laws change that take individuals’ and businesses’ freedom away in these cases, we don’t have any leverage to have them removed until the opposition sees them as a liability.

If you press 2, you get their forwarding operator and you can give her the message, which she forwards to Customer Service.
Appropriate response is a boycott, not a law suit.

Hey Office Depot, YOU are NOT a court of law or the Government. This is not for you to decide. What you stated is YOUR opinion. But your OPINION doesn’t matter. When you refuse service to one customer over another, which is what you are doing, that is discrimination. Hope she sues the pants off of you.................
I agree. Just like the bakers should not have been hauled into court, this should be handled by the marketplace.
With a 70% Christian nation, I wonder though why more businesses have not been hit harder when they do PC stuff. So many businesses are pro-sodomy and other things that are offensive to Christians and conservatives but they dont seem to suffer for it.
More Christians need to speak with their pocketbooks.
Maybe they should be referred to as PP Depot
What she SHOULD do it to get friends to go in and print Pro-abortion flyers, and then come in with ANTI-abortion flyers. THEN, we’ll see.
Christians have to bake cakes...office depot must print the flyers!
Print them on her home computer and indicate Office Depot supports abortion on the other side. Hand them out outside their stores!

Like the way you think
I'll make my calls tomorrow.
Office Depot bought Office Max and then Staples bought Office Depot. Bottom line; the fish usually rots from the head.
Thanks TexasCajun.
Sue them ,, don’t debate it ,, just do it... we need to act more and be less civil.
