I became less enthusiastic about Trump after his less than enthusiastic support for Kim Davis.
And I’m sure you withdrew support from Cruz for not taking action in the Senate to protect Kim Davis when he should have.
Yes, I can see the real concern here.
That one non-politician had a huge impact on gay marriage being legalized through his pageant.

Trump just dissapoints me when he can fight like a madman against so many uniparty idols but when it comes to the Kim Davis situation, he acts just like another run-of-the-mill, play-it-safe, milquetoast politician.
Look, Cruz is a U. S. Senator. Congress can pass legislation alleviate this problem.
Paul and Santorum could have introduced legislation also.
Trump can’t.
These after the fact feel good moments are nothing but exercises in misdirection.

How come Trump supporters said they loved how Trump, “STOOD UP,” to the media, and they didn’t care how much criticism it got. Now they are saying conservatives and Christians should role over and play dead for liberal mainstream, and they are saying it’s okay that Trump plays Mr. P.C. to the media.
Yes, but you and I know that the Senate or House will NEVER pass any conservative legislation. So what you are suggesting is just to give up.
Who is my boy in the Senate? You better go back and read up, because I strongly attacked Cruz on the gay marriage and got a lot of flack for it. But you know for a fact that the Senate couldn't get more that 5 votes tops for any such legislation and less that 20% of the House. But, wait, the same is true for any anti-amnesty or wall-building legislation. So Trump would have to do the same thing as Kim Davis if he is going to follow through on his alleged immigration plan. You can't have it both ways.
Kim Davis is a democrat. She ran on their platform
Therefore she has no excuse for being offended.
It is as simple as that

Okay, then you tell me what Cruz did from June 17th to August 4th. If that wasn’t a shiv to the back of Conservatism, him taking a complete pass to submit legislation to rescue traditional marriage, what would be?
