‘Dream ticket’ Trump, Cruz to announce ‘something very big over the next two weeks in Washington’

Ted Cruz and Donald Trump have united to fight the Iran nuclear agreement.

On Thursday, the Texas senator invited the real estate mogul to join him in rallying against the deal on the Capitol grounds, and Trump accepted.

The two Republican presidential candidates said they would do “something very big over the next two weeks in Washington.”

Trump made his announcement after a campaign rally in South Carolina, referring to Cruz as “a friend of mine and a good guy.”

The event will be sponsored by Tea Party Patriots, the Center for Security Policy, and the Zionist Organization of America, campaign spokesman Catherine Frazier told The Blaze.

“We are thankful for all their hard work on this effort, and will have more details on time, date, and location as they are finalized,” she said.

Trump, author of “The Art of the Deal,” also gave his thoughts on the Iran deal.

“By the way, even if you break it up, they are going to get $150 billion,” he said. “You know what I’d do? I wouldn’t give them the money. I don’t care what the deal — I would not give them the money.”244100#ixzz3k7FgqQja

Who will admit to being a Crumpet?

"Crumpet" is British slang for a hot chick.

Duh! It’s the trial balloon.

It is also such a masterful move. Trump/Cruz can milk this for close to a year. Are they or aren’t they going to run together? That will be all the buzz.

They can milk it and milk it and milk it.

If they do more things together this will totally demoralize and neutralize the candidates. Trump/Cruz currently has close to 40% of the primary vote. This locks out any candidate.

It is a long road but this is a major potential merger. Resources get pooled and there is a huge amount of talent in those two. Uge!

Right now Cruz needs to do something to get out of the quicksand. Trump can pull him up ahead of everyone.

No way Trump is going to give his lead away to Cruz.

The rally will make for great TV! If they can pull a big crowd and if Trump-Cruz and get people talking maybe this deal can be stopped or at least deminished. Good for the Tea Party—Good for Israel. Others should attend—Mike Huckabee should be there! So too Dr. Carson, even Sarah Palin! Sean Hanidy should be their so to Wacky Glen Beck! It will be great TV—If Trump or Cruz makes a great speach... it may go down like the Gettysburg Address.

Cruz will be Trump’s apprentice for 8 years.

I would rather see Carson as V.P. and Cruz as Attorney General.

Carson is a fine man and may well have a role to play in a Trump administration, but frankly he's not presidential material. He'd be in way over his head and would be easily corralled by the Wolves in DC.

Cruz would be a fine Attorney General, but his real talents would be wasted in that role. There are many fine people of integrity that can be appointed to do the necessary legal work to root out the endemic corruption that's taken hold. Cruz, meanwhile can spend the next 8 years as the ultimate "Apprentice" learning from Trump the fine art of leadership on the global stage so that come 2025, President Cruz will be fully ready to take over and complete the "fundamental restoration" of the American Republic.

It has to be Trump/Cruz this time around for many reasons already noted. Trump is senior and cannot wait. He's the clear alpha male here and would never consent to being anyone's second. And it's Trump, with all his marketing and negotiating skills, that is needed at this stage to dismantle the culture of corruption and corporate cronyism so that after 8 years Cruz can handle the Madisonian task of leading us back to the full restoration of Constitutional government.

I could support a Cruz-Trump ticket, in that order.

“Let it Be So could support it” isn’t what it takes to win. To get Cruz into the President post, we need him to veep for Trump first. Adjust your realism and we’ll see President Cruz in 5 years!

I love BiBi. I despise the way Obama has treated him. The abuse made me love him more. That is a great shot of him. Thanks.

“Could you support a Trump/Cruz ticket?”

I could, if Trump happens to get the nomination, but would be more comfortable with a President Cruz.

I’d prefer a Cruz/Trump ticket rather than the other way around, but gotta tell ya, either way it is a winning ticket.

>>Please! I suppose you want to defend his defense of the TPA/TPP too?<<

I will take that one. Sure, Ted Cruz did support the trade pact as it was in the Senate. When the house massaged the bill, it became a dead bill to Ted Cruz. A short time later, Ted Cruz called out senate leadership for first, attempting to conceal from conservatives the true details and side deals regarding TPA/TPP, secondly bold face lying to conservative members in the senate.

I don't know what all this hubbub is about in regards to Ted Cruz. He is the most conservative senator in the upper chamber...hands down.

In fact, out spending Cruz 5 to 1 during the run for that Texas senate seat, David Dewhurst WAS the republican good ol boy establishment candidate and folks here in Texas hated the guy. He lost in a runoff to Cruz. Sent {{{shockwaves}}} through the establishment.

The establishment hates Ted Cruz, that is an indication he is absolutely on target.
