NASA says the world is not going to end in September

Space agency kills off internet rumour by confirming an asteroid strike will not wipe out humanity in the next few weeks, or years, or decades.

Good news for those with plans for October and beyond: the Earth will still be in existence.

NASA has confirmed – after rumours swept the internet about an imminent asteroid strike expected between 15 and 28 September – that the two-week period in question will be entirely free of Earth-destroying space attacks.

The likelihood of any known potentially hazardous asteroid striking the planet within the next 100 years stands at 0.01%, the space agency said in a statement.

Persistent rumours on “numerous recent blogs and web postings” that an errant asteroid is due to wipe out not just Puerto Rico, but the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of the United States and Mexico, as well as Central and South America, persuaded NASA scientists that they needed to speak up, the statement says.

“There is no scientific basis – not one shred of evidence – that an asteroid or any other celestial object will impact Earth on those dates,”(continued)

The people who say global warming is real and who were assigned the mission of Muslim outreach? Yeah, I'm buying whatever they're selling.

It is virtually guaranteed the end of the world will not happen in September. However, life on the world does not have that virtual guarantee.

The likelihood of any known potentially hazardous asteroid striking the planet within the next 100 years stands at 0.01% Statistics are a funny thing and often misleading. They always give the statistic for a certain period, but asteroid strike probabilities are not the same as the roulette wheel. Presuming that their is an asteroid out there with our name on it, every passing moment without an asteroid strike increases the odds that it will occur in the next moment. In short, you can land on the same number again in normal roulette, but you cannot land on the same year again asteroid roulette.

Ah, the smugness of youth. Stick around, sonny... won’t be long before they’re circling Uranus too.

How could they say otherwise, without causing massive panic & chaos? The worldwide economy would suddenly seize up if the end was actually announced. Crime would skyrocket. Hillary would release more emails. Just pandemonium.

Personally, I thought it all was a hoax. But now that the government says it is, maybe I should prepare for an asteroid hit.

That is exactly what one would expect from a government
that lies to it’s people on a constant basis. How can
we trust anything they say?
