Another important part of the article for those who do not read them...

""Where we are right now, it will take 107 years of the full production of the American economy to pay off the debt we have right now," Barton said.

"We are at a point now where 60 percent of Americans receive more from the government than what they put in," he added. "You can't sustain that."

"We averaged spending $61,000 per poor family last year. You now find that those who are on welfare make more than teachers make in 11 states. And those on welfare now make more than secretaries do in 39 states. We can't sustain that," he reiterated.

Compare that to the attitude Thomas Jefferson expressed to young America.

Quoting the author of the Declaration of Independence, Barton said, "We can live in debt and extravagance, but we'll be in slavery -- or we can be free, but we have to use frugality.""

So let's do another study...Rate of inflation correlation to rate of faith in the Bible as the Word of God.

We have lost sight of one great truth. To have a real economy you have to make and sell things. People have to stop “taking” and start contributing.

The fastest growing faith group in America is atheists and agnostics.
Faithful to what? Unbelievable.

My prediction is 25 to 30 years of decline as a 50-state entity, followed by a breakup into at least four regions.

“We averaged spending $61,000 per poor family last year.”

Sorry, but my definition of ‘family’ is Mom, Dad, and kids. In this case what they are talking about is unmarried women having kids as ‘profit centers’ to up their monthly take.

I've published this idea several times including links to the Heritage group that has gathered the actual facts - and the truth is this: while everyone goes on and on about Social Security, the actual cancer that is eating the country alive is welfare. It is the destroyer that will end every facet of life as we know it.

I can remember somebody here uploading a photo of Obama carrying a copy of a book titled “After America” or something to that effect (photo was taken about 2008 or so if I am not mistaken). Would be appropriate for this thread.

Yes, but there is nothing decent to replace it. All nations subscribe to managed trade and managed economies. So the whole world, is royally up the creek.

America is already there. The Constitution is titles and the Republic dead. Not everyone has realized it yet. It’s the dawn of the North American Union.
