Trump in Chicago: Says he’s ‘100 percent correct’ about Mexicans, blasts U.S. as ‘laughingstock’
The Chicago Sun-Times / The Associated Press ^ | June 29, 2015 | Sandra Guy and Bill Zwecker, AP

Donald Trump brought his in-your-face presidential campaign to Chicago audience on Monday, declaring that if is he is elected, he would make America “rich,” stop illegal immigration and “knock out” federal health-care reform that the U.S. Supreme Court last week ruled the law of the land.

And even as NBC became the latest network to sever its ties to Trump after he characterized Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals, Trump insisted he had nothing to apologize for, saying his remarks were “100 percent correct.”(continued)

On the gay marriage issue, I am 100% certain he will be asked to state his position during debates. Unless he comes out in favor of gay marriage, I am willing to wait until the debates begin, before crossing Trump off my list. In fact, I will cross off any candidate who is OK with gay marriage.

Then we are on the same page.

What if Trump refuses to stake out an issue on this and effectively remains quiet and neutral?

He does not need to.

He can stick to what his possible supporters care about most.

IMO, all he will end up saying about the marriage ruling is that the SC overstepped it’s boundaries and that it was a state issue and not a federal issue. That is certainly true.

He will focus on jobs, immigration, the debt, our international standing and the poor leadership we have had for some time now in this country.

As he bravely takes strong positions on the most important topics he will gather group after group to his candidacy. The GOPe candidates are too squeamish to speak plainly and are held in contempt by the groups trump wishes to impress.

He covered it, it is almost irrational and absurd to say he didn’t. Tapper then, upon Trump saying he supported traditional marriage, mentioned Trump being married 3 different times.

Anyway, Trump has showed grit and told the truth on immigration.

He's not ducking, he can't stand up, his mouth is full of feet right now.

I honestly I love the antics and the stirring of the pot.
It would be interesting to see his poll numbers with Hispanics, my guess is not very good.

Mexico shoots and kills people crossing it’s Southern Border ...
That's what I wish we were doing to those illegally crossing Mexico's northern border.

Make no mistake, we are under attack by an army of alien invaders with no interest in subsuming themselves into American language and culture. It is an all-out war to dilute our citizenry and eventually annex our southern regions into Mexico.

The alien hordes invading our borders should incur a serious risk of death when are where they attempt to cross. I am for triple fences with minefields in between.

Contrary to popular belief, Hispanics will not pick the winner in 2016. It will be the white voters disgusted with direction the country is going will pick the winner in 2016 general election. And that includes both republicans and Reagan democrat types. Ann Coulter had some interesting statistical facts on this.

According to some exit polls, Romney got the same percent of white votes in 2012 that Reagan did in 1980. (Wash. Examiner)

That doesn't mean Hispanics will pick the winner in 2016, but it also means whites might not either.

Like you, I am all in for Cruz. Like you, I despised McCain when he was the nominee... I remember how you railed against the dangerous fool.

Cruz may not be able to win the nomination though... he has many enemies in the GOPe and the MSM will squeal that he is the anti-Christ. He also may lack the funds. He may not be able to attract a small but needed slice from the usual democrat support base to win. He is a long way from being the likely nominee, that status belongs to Jeb! :-(

If Trump sticks with his current position that he is in favor of traditional marriage and also proclaims that the SC decision was in error since it was a state issue and not a federal issue will that satisfy you? Or is that insufficient? Must he rend his clothes on live TV and proclaim that he will burn himself alive unless the SC reverses its ill-conceived judgment?

I will pose a question for you that I know you will refuse to answer.

If it came down to you alone to decide the 2016 election and it was Trump vs Hillary what would you do. If you abstain or vote for anyone but Trump then Hillary wins. What would you do? Can you man-up and choose, and tell us what you would do? I doubt it.. you will take the “I refuse to answer a silly hypothetical question” way out.

This nation is no longer a free republic. If Hillary takes office we are finished. I will cast a vote for whoever runs against her... I will even stoop so low as to vote for Jeb!
I hope I can vote for Cruz but I won’t be silly enough to refuse to vote for the eventual republican nominee regardless of who that is... this is not the time for such antics. This is the time to claw our way back, bit by bit, any way we can. Anything that maintains the status quo or moves us left is bad, anything that moves us right is good.

Good comment. The media is going to lose it over Trump I would imagine. And with all thats been going on who knows how crazy they will get in order to discredit him.

Trump probably will become neutral on gay marriage. It isn’t an issue for our next President of any stripe. He can’t win by taking a hard stance on it and he has been very supportive of gay people on his shows. I think we should be grateful that our nominee should be heterosexual after having a gay closeted man in the WH for 8 years.

By my tagline (Cruzing together) you see I am for Cruz. Just gave him another small donation.

If the nominees were Hillary and jeb!!! I’d abstain and vote third party. I’d expect Hillary and more of the same deterioration of our USA. If Trump were the nominee I would vote for Trump. He loves the country and might do wonders for us economically. If he can even slightly WOUND the slavishness to political correctness, he will have done us a great favor.

Jeb!!! Brings nothing to the table. And voting for him because it’s his turn to ascend in the monarchy hurts our nation. Hillary is the devil we know not to trust. She also should never be president; she belongs behind bars.

"Trump is a showman. Cruz is a politician. Differences..."

Trump is a natural born Citizen.

Cruz is not.

Differences...

Trump doesn’t give a damn about gay marriage, don’t kid yourself. Of course he also didn’t give a damn about immigration until he found out being a moderate got him nowhere in the GOP.

Actually, I see Trump as a help for someone like Ted Cruz.

Trump and Cruz are the only ones that have the guts to fight.

Ted Cruz is on Fox and Friends right now and they are asking him what he thinks about what Trump said about the border and what is going on. He said NBC is being too PC and he credits Trump with being honest. They asked if it is mostly drug dealers and rapists crossing the border and Cruz said “not mostly, but there are some.” Cruz admitted we do have a border problem.
