The armed guard who protected Geraldo Rivera as he covered the Baltimore riots has been under arrest since May 1 due to the fact that he did not have a license to carry a gun in Maryland.
According to the The Baltimore Sun’s Kevin Rector, the guard “has been in jail since May 1 for carrying guns around Baltimore protest w/o an MD carry permit.”
The Sun reports that Baltimore Officer John Potts “spotted a man holding handcuffs and an ammunition box” on May 1. He kept watching and saw Donald F. Scott allegedly “open the rear hatch of a Chevy Suburban and pull a Glock handgun from his waistband.”
Officer Potts then “signaled to other officers after spotting the Glock and Scott was detained. The Glock had one bullet in the chamber. Officers then found a loaded Cobra revolver in a second holster on Scott’s waist.”
Scott was arrested. He is being held on $350,000 bond and is facing “two gun charges.”
He was part of the security “Fox provided… to accompany reporters and personalities, including Geraldo Rivera.”

I don’t even consider Maryland to be part of America anymore.
The right of the people to keep and bear armed bodyguards shall not be infringed.
Geraldo Rivera would hire a guard who doesn’t know the law. Probably worked cheap.
Have several relatives who are cops in Baltimore area. They moved out of state last year.
Will not travel into the state. Have no choice about Ill. but can handle that.
So Geraldo hasn’t even bailed his own bodyguard out?
Has Geraldo and Fox News abandoned him?
Baltimore priorities: When black rioters are burning and looting the city, the mayor and the chief of police want their police to watch someone who is actually working to see if they can find a firearms violation. Liberals disgust me. It's not different values or priorities; they are simply evil.
These guys are usually independent contractors.
A typical contract will state that they are responsible for obtaining all required licenses and permits.
That’s how liberals operate.
FOX News hired the guy. Probably works for a security company. The guy is probably licensed in NY.
I doubt Heraldo ever met the guy before the Baltimore protest assignment.
I doubt Heraldo cares about the guy at all. And apparently his employer doesn’t either.
Of course the guy must not be very bright if he went to Baltimore and didn’t check for himself if he could legally carry there.
Apparently not.
But the bodyguard was of no further use to Whorealdo so he can rot in prison as far as Whorealdo is concerned.
It matters not that Whoraldo knew or never met the guy before. If Whoreald is adamantly opposed to you and I owning guns for protection (and he is) then he should not have protection of a gun himself, whether provided by himself or by Fox News. But he did.
I guess Whorealdo needs to be on FNC for the liberal side of things.

Why isn’t Jeraldo in jail?
On several Baltimore posts I suggested that those same cops who refused to protect businesses would jump right in to persecute any citizen who defended himself. This tells me how right I was. People can call me a cop hater if they like but cops are agents of the state and if the state is tyrannical so are the cops.
