Well folks, for about four years I haven't written anything, except a few movie reviews and some scripts. I had a strong calling to give up (I thought permanently) writing books. All that time, however, it kept nagging at me that the biography treatments of Ronald Reagan just were not satisfying.
So, I feel "released" now to begin a new book project, perhaps my final book: a biography of our greatest 20th century president.
I have already written a script that Arc Entertainment/Victory Pictures (who did the Palin movie) have agreed to produce called "The Lifeguard: Ronald Reagan and his City on a Hill." That likely will be my title and approach to this biography.
Also, for those who don't follow my Facebook page, I have put in my one-year notice at the University of Dayton and will retire and move to Arizona in May 2016.

Congratulations!
FRiend requests are something I can get behind but that other site is not for me.
How might a freeper procure an autographed copy of Patriots History? I’d like to purchase one for my son and one for his High School AP Euro teacher as a gift.
I like Reagan, but I sure wish some time would be spent on his naivety concerning granting big pharma immunity from liability for vaccines back in 1986, and also with his budget deals with the democrats that never kept their spending promises. That should have been included in the legislation he was signing so it was law and they would have been unable to reverse it. Because even if they passed a separate law later trying to get rid of it, Reagan would have vetoed it, and they wouldn’t have had 2/3 of the house and senate to override.
Yes, I live right in the middle of the state, near Abilene. I'm a traveling salesman these days (married to a farmer/preacher's daughter- my life is a punch line! :) ). I get to Dallas from time to time, but seldom to Lubbock or Austin (thankfully!).
Are they usable in that format as free content, or is it a movie contract or nothing? Can they be rejiggered as stories while still holding the screenplays for movie deals?
One is already adapted from a book, which I have rights to for the next year. Another probably wouldn’t work as a short story. It really is a movie.
Just trying to kick in a few ideas....
Sounds great Larry. Everyone who retires though says something to the effect that, they don’t know when they used to find time to work. More time probably means more writing in your future.
