Ian Reisner, one of the two gay hoteliers facing boycott calls for hosting an event for Senator Ted Cruz, who is adamantly opposed to gay marriage, apologized to the gay community for showing poor judgment.
Mr. Reisner put the apology on Facebook, where a page calling for a boycott of his properties, the gay-friendly OUT NYC hotel and his Fire Island Pines holdings, had gotten more than 8,200 likes by Sunday evening.
I am shaken to my bones by the e-mails, texts, postings and phone calls of the past few days. I made a terrible mistake, wrote Mr. Reisner.
The New York Times first reported on the event, a dinner and fireside chat on April 20, at the duplex Mr. Reisner and his business partner Mati Weiderpass co-own on Central Park South in Manhattan.
The two men are prominent figures in the gay rights community, and Mr. Reisner has been especially vocal about gay marriage. Hes also a staunch supporter of Israel, as is Mr. Cruz....

The brown-shirts strike again.
Libs get angry about gay men talking to Conservativea because the gays will realize Conservatives don’t hate them.
I’m just wondering if a refusal to host the event would have made the owners liable under anti-discrimination laws in New Jersey. Or does their law contain the gay-friendly “hateful/hurtful speech” escape clause that permits the state to say no discrimination when services are refused because the message criticizes the favored class or the speaker, even when not addressing gay issues, is hostile to the gay community?

Even if the law does not contain such language, I’m sure that the government would find no wrong-doing that requires prosecution. That’s how it rolls in the Obamanation.
Wow, you’d think he’d hosted a dinner for Josef Mengele.
Also-—”shaken to his bones” by emails and texts? No wonder they now have kindergarten classes for adults.
I am straight, but I have sinned...and have prayed for forgiveness. And He has forgiven.
Homosexuals need to recognize and repent from their sin.
It's quite simple except for those addicted to sex.
That is the most powerful demon!
That's one way of looking at it.
In real numbers, homosexuals are an extreme minority. Their power, their authority, their will, is enforced by one thing, and one thing only.
Ted Cruz wants to limit it.
Lions and sheep ... but free self-directed Americans living under the Constitution, limited Federal government as Cruz sees it, would be the majority not losing sleep over upsetting a tiny minority who are able to safely, peacefully exist under basic civil and criminal law. Put it back to the states and watch this issue peacefully, civilly settle itself state to state, county to county, city to city.
Government is the sole source of the gay agenda's power to hold tyranny over the majority. The majority would prefer if when a baker said, "Sorry, try another baker to bake a cake for your homosexual wedding because I think what you're doing is wrong," they just went and found a baker who was okay with it, and you know they'd find one easily. The majority would prefer it, if they wanted to prevent their kids' scout troop from being led by an open homosexual they could do it. If a family apartment complex wanted to restrict the residents to heterosexual couples only, homosexuals could find or start their own complex -- limited government would let them, and the free market would handle the rest. But now, Federal and judicial nightmares await anyone who tells this tiny minority to take it somewhere else -- church, military, adoption agency, school, landlord, employer, bakery, photographer -- and all risk harsh fines and punishment.
The only thing fueling the gay agenda at all, is government
Cruz wants to cut the sole source of the gay agenda's force of power.
AMEN.
The Brown-Bustiered Homo-Nazis strike again.
I’m glad to see this! This is good for Cruz.
I hope they all repent of their sins, and turn their lives over to Our Lord Jesus Christ.
If they don't ...
YEP!!
Government is not the sole source of the sodomite agenda’s power.
Money and activism is.
“Conservative” Christians need to wake up to reality.
Jews in general are accepting of homosexuality.
Christians are also in general accepting of homosexuality.
When it comes to Jews in positions of wealth and power - I can’t find one who puts any effort into opposing the homosexual agenda.
I would love to see a list of any that do - it would be a positive development.
Anyone that can find a link to a wealthy or influential Jew really using their influence to oppose the homosexual agenda - please post the link here !
For that matter, what about posting a link to a wealthy Christian who comes out hard in opposition to the homosexual agenda ?
The biggest opposition to the homosexual agenda besides this website - FR - and a few small Christian denominations - is... oh I don’t know... crickets.
The rest have all gone to the dogs.
“It’s ok, let them do what they want as long as they don’t bother me”.
All that I see coming from Jews in positions of wealth and power is promotion of the homosexual agenda.
The list of such folks doing their promotion work is endless.
They must think American Christians are dumb as a box of rocks for opposing homosexuality - and simultaneously supporting the state of Israel - the “gay capital” of the east.
Agreed
Government is a force. It is only a force -- a "dangerous servant and a fearful master." It is a force.
All the money and all the activism in the world would go nowhere without the force of government it bought and bullied. The problem is not the money and the activism, it is government. The problem is not the homosexuals, it is the government that forces acceptance of them. Cruz wants to limit it. Limit the government, limit the influence of money and activism.
It's a principle.
Ah, yes; prosecutorial discretion.
Like the saying on your Freeper page. It is one thing to read something, another to actually understand what you read.
"Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth."(2 Timothy 2:25)
"The Lord is long-suffering toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
Father, Your will be done.

Limited government.
Republicans been doin’ a lot of that. /sarc
It’s the fairies and unicorns strategy.
Let’s put our faith in a Republican politician who will magically have the government [... sorry, laughing uncontrollably, tears in eyes...]
will have the government [cough, chuckle]
the government...
somehow...
stop.. er.. slow down... uh...
the homosexual agenda !!!!! [busts out laughing uncontrollably]
Oh, that’s precious !!!
Let me run right down and vote for some white knight Republican...
all will be right with the world.
Cuz the Republicans... want LIMITED government !!! [more uncontrollable laughing...]
Oh, this is funny, these posts are great.
Seriously, if you live in a totalitarian police state... humor is one of the few things you have to keep you going.
Republicans. Small government. I love it.
All we need is those unicorns and fairies to wave their magic wands.
The “Republicans” will somehow make themselves immune to political influence.
Never mind the “conservatives”... the Sheldon Adelsons, the Kochs, the Peter Thiels, etc., all the rich guys backing Republicans... rich guys who are perfectly happy to live in Sodom...
Some Repub in a white hat will tell them, “no, I can’t accept your pro-sodomy contribution”. I will get every penny of my campaign funds... from the “little people” and I will “rein in” government. I will “roll back” all the pro-sodomy legislation, court decisions, etc.
