President Barack Obama assures us that, "In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.
Militant atheists are fond of reminding us that there have been people who committed acts of violence "in the name of religion." And of course this is true. But the Church always condemned such abuses in her teaching.
But what Barack Obama doesn't mention (and this should come as no surprise, counterfeit Christian that he is), is that far more violence has been committed under the banner of atheism. See here. As historian Paul Johnson put it, "Certainly, mankind without Christianity conjures up a dismal prospect. The record of mankind with Christianity is daunting enough....The dynamism it has unleashed has brought masacre and torture, intolerance and destructive pride on a huge scale, for there is a cruel and pitiless nature in man which is sometimes impervious to Christian restraints and encouragements. But without these restraints, bereft of these encouragements, how much more horrific the history of these last 2,000 years must have been!....In the last generation, with public Christianity in headlong retreat, we have caught our first, distant view of a de-Christianized world, and it is not encouraging." It sure looks that way to me. If we think it is bad now,just wait until God withdraws much of His influence in this world & see how bad it can get then. Real Christianity,when it is applied,is a wholesome influence in spite of what some would have us believe.

Why is Obama bringing up that slavery was ever justified in the name of Christ? His version of history is just so warped.
Given the time frame of the offences he is talking about, it seems like he should be seeking new longsword control laws.
And for the record slavery in the US and England was stopped by Christian. Wonder why it hasn’t been stopped in many parts of the Arab world.
That’s because he’s not concerned with the Islamic violence.

Well Christians ended slavery, Muslims still practice it. Sorta like Washington making beer in the White House. Never mind ignorance is bliss and Obama seems very blissful.

As far as I can tell Christians in Nigeria, ect, are on the run, and in defense mode.
Indeed, what about the hundreds of thousands of Europeans taking into slavery by the Barbary states?
This is how our POTUS spends his days: insult the one true God insult our great country, insult people that are not of a preferred minority group, insult taxpaers, insult the poor, insult the rich, insult the middle class, insult police, insult our allies...
People who voted for this loser should be ashamed, assuming they’re not too stupid to realize what they’ve done.
