Sarah Palin: ‘I Would Love to See a Woman on Both Sides’ in 2016 Presidential Race
Extra ^ | December 9, 2014 | Charissa Thompson

Posted on 12/09/2014 1:12:55 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

"Extra's" Charissa Thompson caught up with Sarah Palin on location for her Sportsman Channel show "Amazing America," where Palin opened up about running for president in 2016.

Palin explained, "2016 is a long time away… that's a big darn deal when it comes to family."

Thompson asked, "Hillary Clinton's name has been floating out there for a long time as the Democratic nominee. Are we ready for that?" Sarah responded, "I would love to see a woman on both sides of the aisle shooting for that top spot."

As for the second season of "Amazing America with Sarah Palin," Palin said, "There's so much to show… we're going to focus a lot on those who are reaching out and helping others. We're going to showcase a lot of these people who can inspire others to get out there and live vibrant lives. It's about work ethic, but still keeping that connection between faith, family, and love of freedom. That's America!"

On whether or not she'd ever be interested in joining <>"The View," Palin said, "I think it would be fun to be able to highlight more of the issues that they get to focus on… to do something positive and not necessarily so controversial. Something positive, encouraging and inspiring and not bickering sitting across a table or on a panel."

Palin also shared that her family is doing well. "My family is awesome. Perhaps they have some kind of target on their back because the liberal media types, they do not like constitutional conservatives who are going to call it like they see it and speak truth. So they'll do whatever they can to get you to sit down and shut up, but I'm not wired to sit down and shut up."

The second season of "Amazing America with Sarah Palin” premieres January 15 on the Sportsman Channel!

Well, good for her, but I don’t do identity politics crap.

I’ll go with Cruz.

"How is she doing that?"

Do you know why the Founding States made the federal Constitution?

I did see that, just didn’t recall the orange suits...even so Sarah isn’t going to be running. Though she can certainly support and use her talents to get our guys elected...and that is what she wants to do.

I didn’t realize that you were close enough to her to know that.

One Alinskyite POTUS is more than enough, thank you very much. I’d like to see an old, bald man on both sides, or even on one side. Bald men are grossly underrepresented in American politics.

But the bottom line is that we need a Reaganite conservative to win. That doesn’t imply amnesty; “Reaganite” is simply code for pragmatic and principled. Pragmatically, the benefits of amnesty have proven to be overrated. If a woman is conservative and her sex helps her win, well and good. But if a woman is not conservative - or if she can’t win - it’s a moot point.

The Republicans must nominate someone who knows the difference between “society” and “government”:

"SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness POSITIVELY by uniting our affections, the latter NEGATIVELY by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher.

Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one . . .” - Thomas Paine, Common Sense

If you know that, you should easily put paid to Elizabeth Warren or any other “you didn’t build that” Marxist.

Who gives a damn what sex they are?

Good lord

I am sick of girl power.

As leaders...women....only the exceptional need apply...as rule...not up to it

And you don’t preserve your civilization via exceptions

I mean really....this sort of chirping is the best conservatism can offer

I never, ever considered the sex or race of a candidate when I voted for or against him/her.

However, after this Fienstien debacle, I could never vote for a democrat female...sob, sob....we waterboarded a beheading, murdering, butchering, piece of human?? trash and we must now confess to the world so they'll think that we are really good people...........O.K. I guess....go back to California and continue to attempt to destroy this country.......just do it all there.

The Tea-Party types and us here @ FR are the last of the Reaganites. I can't even read Mona Charen's anti Rush Rant today my flippin' head would explode.

Tell me, Amongst the Chattering Class who of the following is a Reaganite? Mona? Brit Hume? Charles K? Bill Kristol? Rove? You and I know the answer.

Put Dr K aside for a moment with his disability, but how many of those folks go to the range and shoot, ride an ATV, can change a tire and ever attended a Tea Party Meeting in fly over country.

You and I know the answer is none.

I got to tell you some days it is freakin' depressing, good gosh almighty it is just one month from the election and our Lear Deaders McConnell and Boenher are about to give us the political shiv in the back.

Why the hell did I bother to vote this past Nov 4th?

Back to our Reaganite....

The field will be filled with a lot of fluff. so here goes the Reaganite's are at the bottom of the list and IMHO it where we should put our energies or we end up with Cristie or Jeb....

* Mike Huckabee: Bill Clinton with a Banjo
* Chris Cristie: Bobby Bacala should not run for POTUS
* Rick Santorum: Would make a great producer for EWTN
* Jeb Bush: No more, Please.
* Ben Carson: The Huckabee of 08' for 2016
* Newt: OJNTSA ( yes the photo of they guy with his hand on his head )
*Mitt Romney: They don't sell Isuzu's here anymore Joe
* Ted Cruz: Senate Majority Leader, those words are music to my ears.
* Rand Paul: A Deadhead for POTUS?
* Marco Rubio: I could have been a contenda...

That leaves: Scott Walker, Rick Perry, Mike Pence, John Kasich, and maybe even Rick Snyder.

My money is on Walker or Pence....

There is a little too much of a feminist tone to that statement. We won’t be seeing a female conservative candidate in the democrat party ever, so why waste breath. All democrats are interchangeable.

If she knows that then why say it

Girl power has been her schtick since day one

I’ll pass.

I’ve given up on her

She makes a decent cheerleader but she ain’t running and never will

Seems to be best we can do is Cruz

Second best Paul but man are there issues with him

Other than some unknown

Its all RINOs besides them

And let me be clear .

I think with few exceptions in history that women make poor leaders and for many reasons

Its been the nature of things for a reason and not because men keep them down

They just as a rule are not as capable

We live in a soft alternate universe to historical reality whereby women think they are not only equal but superior to men

They are not which is why we used to take care of them with our lives

Let power go out two months which means it may not come back on

And all this fembot fantasy will be dustbin of history stuff.....more failed human experiments

So you guys have fun

You’re just whistlin past the graveyard

Sarah Palin ain’t Joan of Arc or Boadicea

Thought she was

Wish she was

She ain’t

"How about just answering my question?"

Presuming that you don’t know how to answer my question as to why the Founding States made the federal Constitution, please consider the following.

Given that the Founding States made the Constitution to deliberately limit (cripple) the federal government’s powers, one of the very few powers that the Founders actually delegated to the feds via the Constitution which an affect many citizens on an almost daily basis is to establish and operate the US Postal Service (1.8.7).

In other words, and military issues aside, most federal government services that many people are now either benefitting from or dependent on are based on constitutionally nonexistent federal government powers.

So not only do we have corrupt political parties struggling to control policy for the US Mail Service (ahem), the political parties actually fighting like dogs over a stick to try to win control of nonexistent federal government powers, but Sarah is now evidently concerned about the gender of the president who has to sign or veto bills which regulate the Mail Service.

What is wrong with this picture?

Sorry, but I understand the 10th Amendment and its origins.

You, however, are pathetic in accusing her of violating the Constitution because she’d support a candidate for the presidency.

Yeah, she’d like to have the GOP have a female candidate, but she has said nothing about supporting a female candidate simply because of the candidate’s sex. If anything, of all the prospective candidates she consistently speaks most highly of Ted Cruz.

Jeesh!

Are you saying we shouldn't believe what she has “publicly’ stated? Palin said she and her husband Todd.. " devote ourselves to God, family and country." ..."you don’t need an office or a title to make a difference."....I respect her decision...

additionally... Palin repeatedly stoked speculation 'before' in part by visiting Iowa seven times so her visitation doesn't mean a thing other than support...which she says she wants and will do.

Further is she is running...she needs to make that known...I'm not at all interested in the coy antics where she strung people along before...therefore I have no reason to believe she's to be taken seriously at a run this time around.

I would love to see a mixed party ticket with 2-women, Hillary Clinton in the top slot with Sarah Palin as VP. We’ve only had 2 mixed tickets in our nation’s history. The 1st time, William Henry Harrison succumbed to pneumonia and John Tyler ascended to the presidency, and the 2nd time, Abraham Lincoln was assassinated and Andrew Johnson became President.

Third time’s the charm, that’s what I always say.

How could that possibly be a benefit to the process?

How could anyone possibly ascribe factual intent to mere ideas?
