Politico Absurdly Avoids Attkisson Bombshell in Hillary Benghazi Story
NewsBusters ^ | September 16, 2014 | P.J. Gladnick

Imagine the absurdity of reporting on supporters of Richard Nixon during the Watergate hearings with no mention of the White House Plumbers who performed the break-in at the complex. Such is the case now with Politico reporting on groups of Hillary Clinton supporters who will be defending her during the Congressional Benghazi hearings which makes absolutely no mention of the Sharyl Attkisson's report about how Hillary's aides at the State Department scrubbed the Benghazi documents of possibly incriminating information.

To get an idea how ridiculous it is for Politico to avoid the Benghazi elephant in the room, let us first look at some of the allegations in Attkisson's report:

You would not want Pravda to cast an esteemed member of the Politburo in a bad light, would you, comrade?

The GOP will be bringing it up in the hearings where it will have the most impact.

Imagine Politico reporting breathlessly on something like Benghazi or the IRS like they did for a stupid GOP internal poll...

Politico very excited that single women don't approve of the GOP

Many accuse Politico of being a corrupt leftwing activist outfit, masquerading as a non partisan news company.

So last night I checked out their website, and Twitter feed, to see what all the fuss was about.

And Politico did not disappoint.

The big buzz coming from Politico yesterday (into the evening) had nothing to do with the latest news on Lois Lerner's Blackberry being scrubbed by the IRS, or the news about the ISIS War debate, or the NY Times report claiming Obama will sidestep Congress, once again.

Nope. The Politico journalists were breathlessly reporting about a GOP-sponsored poll that found, wait for it, single females (i.e. liberals) do not really like the GOP.

Yep. That was the big "exclusive" that the non-partisan Politico was running with.

Here's the Politico home page. (Notice the five non-smiling white guys. Just for the impact, you know.)

politico-poll-woman

But that's nothing. A visit to their Twitter feed was absolutely stunning, even for a liberal-leaning media company. Usually they pretend to be not so in the tank.

Politico published a total of fifteen tweets in a 3 hour period. And six (40%) of the tweets were the same "exclusive" poll story - of course written with a different twist each time (to avoid spam).

politico-twitter-woman

You think Politico wanted this "exclusive poll's" headline to get noticed by their 795 thousand followers?

Even the Politico staff jumped in with tweets of their own.

Laura McGann is a managing editor. No, really.

Bad sign when GOP's own poll finds women believe party is "stuck in the past." http://t.co/ZHiLN502RJ (scoop @JakeSherman @apalmerdc)— Laura McGann (@lkmcgann) August 27, 2014

"I've never heard my friends lament their taxes." http://t.co/shIgCxrLZW @AP story matches up with http://t.co/DLMOkN2p3n— Laura McGann (@lkmcgann) August 27, 2014

The strategically placed quotes from Ms McGann are so you understand how bad the GOP is viewed, I assume.

So how does the blaring headline and spam-worthy tweets match up to the reality of the findings?

Um, married woman prefer Republicans by a whopping 10 points.

Wait. What?
Married women prefer a Republican over a Democrat, 48 percent to 38 percent.

“Just like a gender gap exists, a marriage gap also exists,” Conston said. “While young unmarried women have always skewed liberal, the polling found married women across the country are far more likely to be conservative and are receptive to center-right policies.”

And all woman, both single and married, prefer Republicans over Democrats when it comes to the important fiscal matters.

The GOP holds a 3 percent advantage over Democrats when female voters are asked who has “good ideas to grow the economy and create jobs,” and the same advantage on who is “fiscally responsible and can be trusted with our tax dollars.”

The bottomline is this. Women, who have always voted for Democrats (just like men vote Republican), prefer Republicans when it comes to "job creation." While Democrats are the choice when it comes to abortion and birth control.

Hmm. What do you think will be the more important issue during the upcoming mid terms - birth control or job creation, abortion or taxes? And which demo is more likely to vote in the mid terms, single females or married woman?

This story, and its accompanying narrative creation, is a perfect example of media corruption.

Why shouldn’t she get away with it? She had Vince Foster murdered and then went into his office and removed all incriminating evidence he had against her.

These so-called "members of the press" do not deserve Journalist credentials.

They are NOT Journalists.

They are treasonous propagandists.

It’s ironic. If you took the MSM back 40 years and set them up in Russia or any of the Iron Curtain countries no one would even notice any difference (except for some of the queers and freaks) from the then existing government news organ.

Is Sharyl Attkisson the only reporter in the United States?

Seriously. Where TF are the journalists?

As far as I can tell, the major news media outlets are also suppressing or at least minimizing this latest Sharyl Attkisson revelation.

Hillary Clinton fired for lies, unethical behavior .

Jerry Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, supervised the work of 27-year-old Hillary Rodham on the committee. Hillary got a job working on the investigation at the behest of her former law professor, Burke Marshall, who was also Sen. Ted Kennedy’s chief counsel in the Chappaquiddick affair. When the investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation – one of only three people who earned that dubious distinction in Zeifman’s 17-year career.

Why?

“Because she was a liar,” Zeifman said in an interview last week. “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and ..
