Thirteen years after nearly 3,000 people were killed in Islamic terrorist attacks on US soil, a Palestinian monument has finally been set up to commemorate the event and to honor those who died piloting the aircraft involved.
A forty-foot statue of a Boeing 767-200ER crashing into a skyscraper was unveiled this morning in the square amid fanfare and speeches by political and cultural figures calling for continued resistance to Western “colonialism.” A military band played nationalist songs in praise of martyrdom while sweets were distributed to children, and attendees held aloft banners in tribute to the 19 men, mostly Saudi nationals, who hijacked four airplanes and crashed three of them into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. A fourth attempt was thwarted by passengers and that plane crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The base of the statue features a plaque with the names of the nineteen hijackers, after whom numerous children have been named in the Muslim world. When news of the attacks and resulting destruction reached the Palestinian territories in 2001, residents reacted jubilantly, as they saw the attacks as punishment for American policies in the Middle East. But in the intervening years Palestinian frustration has grown, as even such a fearsome blow to prominent symbols of American economic and military might produced no reduction in American support for Israel and no progress toward the defeat and destruction of Israel.

What is also not surprising is the reality that the rationale for 9/11 could be found in the "root causes" for the global enmity the Arab had for the US is as fraudulent as any Arab/Muslim Taqiyah-facilitated statement made in the cause of promoting their agenda. We have a US Administration as pervasively anti-Israel as there ever has existed, yet there is no change at all in the Arab view as the US as Great Satan. So shove your root causes where Obama would prefer most.

If not, then ALL money we spend on these folks should be withheld until this “memorial” is removed and blown to smithereens.

This is a satire, so don’t get worked up over it. I know people in the West Bank, and I was starting to get very upset...until I realized it was a joke. First clue: the tag line in the heading, “Jew Gotta be kidding.”
I’m sure there are some Palestinians who would embrace this, as many cheered on Sept 11. But hold your outrage for real events.
At least Herman Munster’s face doesn’t shape-shift like Lurch Jr’s face. :)
Whew! At least things haven’t gone quite that far at the present. Even if this were true, and broadcast on both Al Jazeera and Fox News, you would find stupid American Progressives defending the Palestinians right to celebrate and giggle about our tragedy.
This makes me feel sick. What a truly DEMENTED world we live in .. sick, sick, sick!
I was trying to imagine recently a scene in 1950’s America. A scene where a former Nazi was president. An America where Communism and Eastern Bloc facist ideals were popular inside the Beltway. Where colleges and universities praised Japanese Imperialism and popular media extolled the virtues of Dachau and Buchenwald.
An America where - not more than 10 years after WWII - we changed direction 180 degrees and swallowed the whole load of Third Reich ideals and had a press that hated and held with contempt our former allies in France and England.
Thank God that never happened. But how did America devolve into a similar scenario regarding the mulsim threat almost immediately after 9/11?

A Stretch by no means. I too was able to believe it could happen.
Prophetic in one sense of the word within the article ... after all, the victors write the History and erect the monuments.
That alone should trigger a response with a fuel/air bomb over the site.
Doesn’t seem to be on any news sites.
