The Tea Party Took Its Name Based On an Act of Deception (You've got to see this)

In the past few primary elections the Tea Party has won some and lost some. Lately it's been more "lost some" than "won some."
Several months ago I wrote that the Tea Party was founded on an act of impersonation based on an act of deception. They named themselves and patterned themselves after a bunch of so-called Boston Patriots who decided to rebel over a tax on tea by sneaking aboard a vessel that had received a shipment of tea and dumping the tea into the Boston Harbor. In order to conceal this criminal act from the authorities they dressed themselves up as Mohawk Indians hoping to transfer the blame to the Indian people.
The so-called Patriots who committed this criminal action were too cowardly to stand up and be counted as the heroes they envisioned themselves to be, but instead sought to deceive the authorities by shifting the blame upon the Mohawk and if believed, this act of cowardice could have been deadly to the local Indians.
When a group of Republicans decided they would shake up the Republican Party by forming themselves into the Tea Party, an ultra-conservative wing of the Republican Party, they decided to take a page from the history books and breathe new life into it by taking an extreme stance against federal spending and taxes. The Tea Party brought out its share of wing nuts as supporters and candidates with Sarah Palin of Alaska grabbing the brass ring.
Since they were new and fresh-faced they did manage to get some of their candidates elected and this set the traditional Republican Party back on its heels. They didn't know what to do with the newcomers who were vocal, rude and uncompromising. They also proved to be extreme obstructionists....

I’ve sometimes mused about this. How would palefaces, in that day (there weren’t even very good mirrors yet), manage to disguise themselves effectively as Indians rather than appearing as obviously in costume? Maybe they wanted to project the image of being “wild as Indians” instead of actually effecting a disguise — i.e. something as obvious as blackface would be?

Since the Left have no ideas of their own all they can do is cast innuendos at those they can’t debate in the arena of ideas.

Rumor has it that the raid on the ship was pulled-off by the Masons, who were mostly the influential men of the city.

Someone is rather ignorant. At that time, the colonies were often represented by imagery of native indians.
Cartoon-The able doctor or America swallowing the bitter draught
Revolutionary War-era political cartoon published in the London Magazine, entitled "The able doctor; or America swallowing the bitter draught." Depicts Lord North, with the "Boston Port Bill" extending from a pocket, forcing tea (the Intolerable Acts) down the throat of a partially draped Native female figure representing "America," whose arms are restrained by Lord Mansfield, while Lord Sandwich, a notorious womanizer, restrains her feet and peeks up her skirt. Britannia, standing behind "America", turns away and shields her face with her left hand. Image published: 1774.

Not a clue to the fact that it’s a MOVEMENT, not a PARTY? No idea who Rick Santelli is, or what he said on the exchange floor?

The Symbolism of the Indian Dress Reports from the time describe the participants as dressed as Mohawks or Narragansett Indians. The disguise was more symbolic in nature; they knew they would be recognized as non-Indians. The act of wearing Indian Dress was to express through symbolism to the world that the American colonists identified themselves as Americans and no longer considered themselves British subjects. They were not dressed as Indians in the classic sense with headdresses and full authentic regalia; rather they wore wool blankets matchcoat style, painted their faces with soot, and employed other modes of dress commonly known at the time as Indian dress which had been adopted by soldiers during the French and Indian War. - See more at: http://www.bostonteapartyship.com/the-secret-plan#sthash.32IXecte.dpuf

And D-day was in large part an act of deception. It was pathetic and evil in its conception. And we should give todays’ adherents of Adolf Hitler another chance to reconstitute the Nazi party and let them have back all of Europe.
It’s only fair, for the children.

That’s close to the sense I was getting. That they were as native as the Indians.
Not every paleface reference to Indians is uncomplimentary, liberal fretting notwithstanding. The existing reservation system is probably suboptimal for tribes who would rather be roaming around in vast wildernesses, but it is a compromise.

The writer seems to miss the fact that there is really no such thing as ‘The Tea Party’, so the stated circumstances behind its ‘founding’ are equally imaginary.
That stated, I’m a fervent supporter of Tea Party values and principles as we know them, and not as mischaracterized and smeared by libs, progressives, Dems and dimwits who believe every pejorative hurled by the alphabet networks and other ‘mainstream’ media outlets.

They “painted” their faces with soot to not stand out in the moonlight. Indians also painted their faces for other reasons. Hence this raid was done “Indian-style”, and over time people believed they dressed as actual Indians (but not really).
