That took brass! Fortunate the trucker was not shot. The more circumspect might video it (with a man riding shotgun and/or stand camera) and send it in to a news station.

Two things about this:

1. Is the video flipped, or is this a specialized piece of equipment? It looks like the driver is on the right side of the cab.

2. This is why I feel much more comfortable knowing that guys like that trucker are on the road, than knowing that the highway patrol is on the road.

Unfortunately, the DOT will be sure that every scale has this guy’s number.

I never see a cop NOT on a cellphone.

It's almost like they don't use their radios anymore, but everything comes through the cellphone.

This is great

It was great the first couple of times it was posted too.

How is it now that you deserve blog hits for a video you had nothing to do with?

Interesting that instead of posting a link to the Youtube video, you instead post a link to your blog.

Why is that exactly?

Is the cop on the right side of the cab?

It would be nice if some of the same police officers who pull you over would obey the same traffic rules such as using turn signals and not speeding.

I still remember in Robbinsdale, Minnesota in 2004 when I visited family and was driving a rental SUV when some fool officer who was just ahead of me slammed his brakes on hard and pulled over to the side then dropped behind me.

As I was staring at him wondering what this fool was doing he switched lanes and raced thru a red light at the intersection barely and I mean barely miss being hit by a car traveling east. He probably thought he recognized some bad guy and when his hunch did not work out he then bugged out of there fast. West Broadway & N 36th ave.

The police chief there recently resigned as he was caught at a house of prostitution..... hmmm...I wonder if that officer had gotten himself promoted in all those years : )

I’m taking a bit of a contrarian view...cops doing certain rates of speed and using their phones safely every day are proof that all the nanny statism is a farce. It’s even more so when you see untold numbers of seniors with eyesight so poor they are unable to make a simple left turn and invariably cause panic everywhere they go by driving way too slowly...yet the dmv continues to endanger us all by renewing their licenses.

I don’t begrudge the cops their actions...but the laws and penalties should be wiped for the rest of us.

It’s hard to tell from that video. It looks like the driver is on the right side of the cab when he looks into the camera at the very end, doesn’t it?
