As rumors brew further regarding Sen. Ted Cruz's (R-Texas) 2016 presidential ambitions, the bold champion of constitutional conservatism is off to Iowa today (Saturday) to meet with/speak to a conservative group in the influential primary state. The event will be in conjunction with the Family Leadership Summit, and held at Iowa State University (Ames) this afternoon.
Cruz made an appearance in New Hampshire -the first voting primary state, vital for any 2016 hopeful- just last month, where he headlined a NH state Republican Party fundraiser, and has already popped up in early-voting South Carolina, where the good Senator spoke at the 'Silver Elephant' GOP dinner.
For today's Iowa visit, a Cruz spokeswoman stated The senator is honored to be attending the Family Leadership Summit at the group's invitation and looks forward to sharing his vision for how to get our nation back on track, and how conservative principles are the key to empowering American families to prosper.
Another lively, principled, and entertaining conservative speaker -Ted Cruzs own Cuban-immigrant father Rafael- will also be speaking to the group today in Ames, Iowa. And if you haven't caught him in action yourself- he's something to behold.
My friends, don't forget that this is the same Ted Cruz that even insect-like Democratic guru James Carville sees as "The most talented and fearless Republican in 30 years" who "WILL run for president...
and will create something."
Me? I sure can't think of another candidate I'd prefer to see run...
this is what we need.

I don’t think the odds of him running are high for 2016. Perhaps he’d run in the future beyond 2016, and is a very real contender for VP candidate, but 2016 is going to be such a dogfight, a proverbial world war between Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and a whole host of Rovian and reasonable governors, he’ll likely decide to hang back. He’s still pretty young after all.
Personally however, I’d love him to run. Total hero.

If God is merciful and spares the USA, He will anoint His champion against the array of satanic forces currently in sway. History is His story. We will know if salvation or destruction is His will for America.

I would vote for him. He seems to be right where he should be on the issues and I suspect he'll surround himself with like minded individuals.

If Cruz wants it...he could be the GOP candidate in 2016. Too much baggage and Karl Rove Liberalism among the other potentials.

almost sure that the NH trip has not happened yet: AUGUST 23
Washington Post:
BOSTON Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas is heading to New Hampshire as part of a summer swing through early voting states on the presidential calendar.
The freshman senator, a tea party favorite thought to be weighing a 2016 presidential bid, is scheduled to headline an Aug. 23 fundraiser for the New Hampshire GOP. The trip represents Cruzs first visit to New Hampshire, which is expected to host the nations first presidential primary.

The RNC fired a shot across the bow of conventional wisdom (shockingly) with the ultimatum to the liberal nets. Now, let’s get rid of this absurd and stupid Iowa NH start. Two tiny and very weird voting populations is no way to start a primary season. Big bunch of bullsht.

I can understand why Sen. Ted Cruz might want to speak to members of the various conservative groups who sponsored the
Family Leadership Summit held in Iowa.
Not understood is why the Family Leadership Summit organizers chose to meet in a state that voted for Traitorobama in 2008 and in 2012. It's like holding the Family Leadership Summit in some New York whorehouse.

I will not be infected and would encourage others not to be as well, by people who say a candidate can’t win due to some old school political calculations.
In fact if a conservative candidate wants to win he/she must only speak the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth and be clear in his own mind...to hell with the naysayers, the MSM, the Rino’s, et al.

I’m not sure whether Cruz is eligible or not.
I believe Palin should run with Cruz. With Cruz as VP.
This would leave the Cruz issue to be worked out by the courts.
I would think a Palin / Cruz ticket would be the ultimate.
To: Cringing Negativism Network
Cruz is definitely not eligible. With that said, if Palin chose him to be her running mate and then the courts declared him ineligible, who would be your second VP pick for her?
To: Cringing Negativism Network
Im not sure whether Cruz is eligible or not.
***************
That's the situation that would encompass his candidacy should he elect to run. If for no other reason finances are a major factor in what most political activist need thus Cruz is position himself to be able to tap the money. JMO.

Hmm. Good question.
Don’t currently have an answer to that.
I’m not sure that would happen, but will be an important question to prepare for...
How about you? Got a favorite?
