Perry's Twin Mandates For Kids---Gardasil for the Veins; Islamopropaganda for the Brains
08/20/2011 | Brices Crossroads

Posted on 08/20/2011 11:52:40 AM PDT by Brices Crossroads

Before I began to research Rick Perry's record, I perceived him to be nothing more than a garden variety southern Republican governor, probably conservative, certainly more conservative than his 2010 opponent Kay Bailey Hutchison. But the fact that he had such a spirited challenge from both sides in the GOP primary, both from the moderates AND the Conservatives, made me wonder just how conservative he really was. Just a bit of research revealed the gardasil mandate on preteen girls and their parents (and the cronysim associated with it), his full throated advocacy of open borders, including a pipeline for illegals dubbed the Trans-Texas corridor, his provision of in state tuition to the offspring of illegals, his doubling of the state budget during his tenure and his support in 2008 of the pro-choice social liberal Rudy Giuliani for President. I was not shocked to find he was not a conservative (After all, 49% of the Texas GOP voters, who are overwhelmingly conservative, voted in the primary not to renominate him.) What took me completely by surprise was his great affinity for Islam, the warm words which the Hamas front group CAIR has for him but most significantly of all, the Islamicization of the curriculum in the Texas public schools which the supposedly conservative Governor of Texas has quietly implemented.

Perry, you see, has a cozy relationship with the Aga Khan, the head of the Ismailis, a realtively small sect sect of Shia Islam that reportedly has 15 to 20 million followers. Perry and Khan have confected two cooperation agreements between the state of Texas and Ismaili institutions, the most significant of which is a program, now pervading every Texas public school, to proselytize and to desensitize, schoolchildren about Islam. Dubbed the "Muslim Histories and Culture Project", it really amounts to Islamic propaganda forced upon a captive audience...the malleable youngsters attending Texas public schools.

Up until a few days ago, the Texas school curriculum could be viewed on the SAN ANTONIO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT's own website:

www.saisd.net/admin/curric/sstudies/mhcp/mhcproject.html

This link has now mysteriously disappeared. I wonder if that has anything to do with the following posting on Pam Gellar's Blog, which exposes the entire enterprise, and which thankfully saved the curriculum abstracts:

LINK

Before the link to the San Antonio Independent School District Website was disabled and the website scrubbed, Gellar and company had lifted the curriculum abstracts from it, which show:

"a) High praise for Gov. Perry's collaboration with the Aga Khan, leaving no question about Perry's complicity and active support; and b) A thorough whitewashing of the nature and history of Islam that ignores Islam's bloody history while simultaneously portraying the Crusades as a bloody assault on Islamic soil by Christians."

*******************************

The curriculum abstracts characterize the interaction of Islam and Christianity as follows:

"While Islam "spreads" and "extends," presumably in the same way that dew forms on flower petals, Crusaders "wrest political control of the Holy Land from Muslim rulers, damaging the positive relations that had previously existed." Nowhere is it mentioned that the Crusades were prompted by two crises: (1) the ruthless treatment of Christian pilgrims attempting to see Jerusalem, which was under Muslim control, and (2) Byzantine Emperor Alexius's plea for European knights to help him take back territory that had just been overrun by an invasion of Muslim Turks. "

***********************************************

Also lifted from the now scrubbed website was the following:

"A presentation of the Koran and Muhammad that can only be described as open proselytization for Islam in public schools.

An idealized portrayal of Cordoba's "multicultural" society that minimizes the oppression and political upheaval that took place under Muslim misrule, which largely brought on its own demise through infighting similar to what we see in the Islamic world today. A bizarrely twisted portrayal of the Islamic world that blames Islam's repression of women on Western Colonialism.

A naked advertisement for the Aga Khan and the Ismaili sect of Islam. This is particularly dangerous because the Ismailis are a sect of only about 20 - 30 million people -- approximately 2% of the entire Muslim population and therefore not representative of Islam as a whole. Also, while the Ismailis may portray themselves as relatively modern, they still have an anti-Western historical narrative that portrays the West as colonialist while ignoring Islam's own bloody form of colonialism. In making overtures to build bridges with one small Islamic sect, Gov. Perry has replaced the Western narrative of history with the narrative of 1.5 billion Muslims who see the West as the enemy. AND YES, THEY REALLY DO SEE THE WEST AS THE ENEMY, as this curriculum makes clear."

*******************************

After reading the teacher's abstracts of this Islamic proselytism, which can be seen by scrolling down the link, I was aghast. If any teacher in the public schools dared to even mention Christianity or Judaism, they would be fired. This curriculum mandates far more than a casual mention. It lionizes Islam, papers over its excesses and trashes Christianity, all at the same time. It is doing immense, yet very subtle, harm to the most vulnerable among us...school children. I daresay that most public school parents in Texas are unaware that their children are being brainwashed in such a fashion.

It turns out that Rick Perry, the godfather of the gardasil mandate for preteen girls also subscribes to another mandate... mandatory Islamic proselytization. Both mandates, it should be noted, require no parental consent. This brought to mind the old slogan Jesse Jackson used to use, "We want hope for brains not dope for veins." Apparently, Governor Perry's education platform was "Gardasil for veins; Islamopropaganda for brains". As the writer correctly observes:

If Barack Obama had imposed such a curriculum on schools we'd be calling for his impeachment. Therefore it is unconscionable to look the other way when it comes to Perry.

The best that can be said for Rick Perry in connection with the Perry/Khan curriculum is that he is very naive. In putting across these two odious mandates on public school children in Texas, gardasil and the euphemistically titled "Muslim Histories and Culture Project", Perry has demonstrated either a colossal lack of judgment or a hidden (and darker) agenda, either of which should disqualify him from consideration for the GOP nomination.

This is what happens when you are in charge for a long time and have an actual record. Where are the articles about any of the other candidates, or the current President’s time in office? If updating the Texas highway system (which anyone on 35 will say needs it), adding a new vaccine for children, of which there are already 12 required, and giving a speech at a mosque groundbreaking are the worst things he has done in 10 years as governor, Id say thats pretty damn good. If you include the Texas DREAM Act, which most anti-Perry people do while leaving out the actual language of the bill, then thats four negatives in 10 years. About one every 2 1/2. About the same ratio as a former governor who set up windfall oil taxes.

Perry to host Muslim sect’s spiritual leader
Aga Khan, governor to sign UT pact with Mideast university.
By W. Gardner Selby
AMERICAN-STATESMAN STAFF
Friday, April 11, 2008
Texas Gov. Rick Perry plans to host a private dinner followed by fireworks near Austin on Saturday to honor the Aga Khan, a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad celebrating his 50th year as the spiritual leader of a Muslim sect.

Earlier in the day, the leaders are expected to be on hand as the University of Texas signs an agreement with Aga Khan University, which has campuses in Pakistan and other countries, fostering student and teacher exchanges between the institutions.

Rick Perry Governor has been friends with Aga Khan for years.
Aga Khan Harvard grad is descendant of the Prophet Muhammad.
Khan, a wealthy, Harvard-educated businessman and philanthropist, leads the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims, an offshoot of the Shiite branch of Islam, claiming 12 million to 16 million believers in 25 countries including tens of thousands in Texas.

Perry, 58, and Khan, 71, struck up an improbable friendship nearly a decade ago, resulting in a UT program exposing schoolteachers to Muslim beliefs and culture.

The jet-setting Khan grew up in Kenya and lives in France and owns hundreds of race horses. Perry was born and raised in West Texas before earning a degree at Texas A&M University.

In 2000, Perry, then lieutenant governor, visited the Aga Khan in Paris during a family trip to Europe.

Two years later, Perry and the Aga Khan visited during the opening of the Ismaili Jamatkhana and Center built in Sugar Land near Houston and at an Austin dinner hosted by Perry.

The Aga Khan Development Network subsequently funded the UT program, which has introduced 80 Texas schoolteachers to Muslim history and culture; 15 teachers have toured the Middle East, Europe and Asia.

In 2006, Perry visited a Pakistan relief center financed by the network. And last year, Perry looked at an unfinished Ismaili center in Dubai that a travel mate described as an architectural and cultural wonder that the Aga Khan is expected to replicate, to a degree, in Houston.

Eric Bearse, an outside adviser to Perry, said Saturday’s “golden jubilee” event at the Texas Disposal Systems Exotic Game Ranch and Pavilion in Buda is “an opportunity for His Highness to be in the presence of a vibrant Ismaili community in Texas as well as to be with his friend, the governor.”

Perry and his wife, Anita, will dine with the religious leader at a downtown hotel tonight.

Shahed Amanullah of Austin, editor-in-chief of altmuslim.com, said the Aga Khan has a solid reputation among Muslims because of his good works, partly through the development network. The network spends $350 million a year on economic, social and cultural projects concentrated in South Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

“There are a lot of non-Ismaili Muslims around the world who wish they had a leader that is as organized and as visionary,” Amanullah said

Perry, who is a member of a Methodist church, and the Aga Khan emphasize the need for the Western world to understand Eastern values and vice versa. After the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, the Aga Khan said differences between Muslim-dominated countries and the Christian-dominant West don’t reflect the clash of civilizations so much as clashes of ignorance.

Neither Perry’s office nor members of the Ismaili community said who is paying for Saturday’s invitation-only party nor did they divulge who will attend it. Perry spokesman Robert Black said it would not be financed by the state or from economic development funds.

About 20,000 to 30,000 people are expected to hear the Aga Khan on Sunday in San Antonio. His U.S. schedule also includes stops in Georgia, Illinois and California.

Noor Jehan, whose family owns an Austin dry-cleaning business, intends to spend the weekend in San Antonio for the jubilee. “It’s a big, big occasion for us,” Jehan said.

Asked if Ismaili Muslims liken the Aga Khan’s standing to the stature of the pope for Catholics, Jehan said. “He’s not a pope, who’s elected by cardinals. The Aga Khan is not elected by anybody. ... He is a very special leader.”

Jehan was referring to the Aga Khan becoming Imam or spiritual leader of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims in July 1957, succeeding his grandfather, Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan III, a former president of the League of Nations.

Aga Khan

Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Dec. 13, 1936

Grew up in Nairobi, Kenya

Attended Swiss boarding school before Harvard University, where he graduated with honors with a degree in Islamic history

Succeeded his grandfather, Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan, as the Ismaili Imamat at the age of 20 on July 11, 1957, becoming the 49th hereditary spiritual leader (Imam) of the Shia Ismaili Muslims

Wealth reportedly exceeds $1 billion

I like Bachmann, but too many goofy misstatements have made her unelectable. "Happy Birthday to Elvis" on his date of death?; Who does that? If she gets the nomination, this statement and others will be played over and over etc... So, then who?

The Koran has NO place in our schools,NONE!

You got that exactly right! under any conditions!

I was interested to see about Perry myself...but when I researched his dealings with the Khan...and further how 'favorable' he spoke of Islam...my stomach darn near lost it! Then to imagine any politician requiring kids to learn Islam in the schools...under CAIR instructors no less!!!!!!! The alarm was ringing so loud it fell on the floor!

Is Perry Nieve? No I don't think so. He's definately out for the money for his state and in order to do business with the Muslims conditions must be met....(and they have the money), one of which generally is to educate and bring in instructors to teach about Islam...at the very least. IN perry's case they opened an Islamic center as well.

Now I looked at that center and what up to. They are bringing in muslim kids from overseas, instructing them in Islam further in order to guarantee they will not adapt to our culture but retain that of Islam. So there's no chance these kids will assimulate into 'our' culture.

Now Texas has thousands of Muslims and they are represented in their governance as well. Not just the Hispanics. So what exactly do people think Perry will permote once in office as Pres. in regards to Islam and the Muslim explosion in our country? Will he mandate our kids be taught Islam?...in order to drive the Middle East monies to our country to create the same busineess climate he has in Texas? Is that part of his plan for this nation as a whole and not just Texas?

So true.

Until asshat Obama got national exposure he had no record The man was a ghost.

Now he has to define himself.
I think he is a goner.

You watch, here is typical Obama BS..
After the markets tanked 666 points (and Good Lord only knows what they will do next week) Chucklenuts will cut his Marthas Vinyard Vacation short to come back and save the nation with some airy shovel ready jobs proposal.

Obama is toast and I don’t think America is ready for another 2 year unvetted wonder.

There is something about Perry that brings out the same reaction as the Obamabots. He is the ONE! Our ONE! and they don’t want to hear anything that might cause them to doubt and actually research the man.

Especially if they're from Texas! There's an arrogance that they already know about him...yet at the same time not flinching of all the Texans that voted against him.

BC ~ I agree.

Sarah Palin has been thoroughly vetted by both conservatives and liberals. Her record as Alaska governor is excellent if not 100% perfect enough for some. Some conservatives don't find Palin appealing for any number of reasons; some relatively substantive, most trivial. That is their prerogative. However, whether an individual conservative supports Sarah Palin or not, few, if any, can point to egregious episodes in her political career that would cause them to question her conservative values, her personal integrity and honesty. I'm beginning to doubt if supporters of Texas Governor Rick Perry can make the same claim. My exchange with one of the posters that immediately dismissed your contentions seemed to demonstrate that they have no real argument. Instead, I was told to 'go look stuff up'. I'm not sure if that was arrogance or laziness but it doesn't enhance my opinion of Perry's conservative values. I appreciate your input on Perrys' political background and if this thread is any indication of his supporters explanations for his record, I doubt he'll make it past the first few primaries. If Sarah Palin - my choice - runs, Perry will likely either be forced out by lack of financial support and primary votes or simply withdraw voluntarily and throw his support to Palin. Whatever happens, I'm beginning to doubt that Rick Perry will be the 2012 Republican presidential candidate. We can't afford another RINO, seeking to appease Muslims (and Latinos) like the left does, to the nation's disadvantage. We had that with George W. Bush and we don't need it all over again. Another reason I remain a Sarah Palin supporter.

“bridge the cultural divide”? What for? The highway never travels back to the Middle Eastern countries...it's clearly not a two way street by any means.

Perry has kids learning Islam in his schools....now how many Christians from Texas are in the Mosques teaching Christianity?

The bridge He speaks of is to generate revenue from the ME. for business ventures.....but these always have conditions. Build Mosques and Islamic community centers. Perry did both and then put Islamic teaching in the schools.

Can't vote for this....not ever!

Trying to to bridge (islamic) cross-cultural divides doesn't’t equate to capitulating.

You're thinking like an American...............But to Muslims it is capitulating.

Thus... Perry agreed to 'their conditions'... building Mosques and Islamic Centers...and teaching Texan kids Islam. In fact he was at the groundbreaking and layed the first brick!

Men will do much to accommodate a business climate even if it means compromising with an enemy for that gain politically.

Texas is a hot climate condusive to M.Easterns. Now the state has thousands of them and more comming for the "warm welcome" they receive. Thus the Islamic agenda to submit this nation to Islam, via population growth and infiltration has continued un abated under Perry's watch.
