The 87-year old Rev. is living in another time and place, and that’s where he’ll likely always remain. His racist views are fossilized.

How ironic that Lowery prayed for the day when "black would not be asked to get back," This was an obvious reference to the protest song "Black, Brown and White," written by left-leaning blues singer Big Bill Broonzy and recorded in 1948 by Pete Seeger (Charter Records #C 40). Given its provenance, the song is probably not well-known in the conservative community.

Can you imagine the headlines tomorrow if this were the other way around? They’d start impeachment proceedings before the media was done with it.

Yeah, way to go, Joe. I give you a thumbs up on that speech. You didn't mention kids, which are another scourge. They smell even worse than white folks...

Dear Mr.Lowry,
I pray for the day when I will be judged by the content nof my character, and not by the color of my skin. Somehow I do not think that will happen during your time, though

Just a white American) Great comment by Silverleaf! I was offended when Mr. Lowry singled out white people as the only race that needed to embrace what is right. To Obama I say...you are a black man...Will you embrace what is right? Will you stop the killing of innocent babies from abortion? Will you stop bailing out people who do not want to work and start rewarding hard working American citizens? Since Mr. Lowry seems to think white people are the only ones who need to be told to embrace what is right, I will say this to the new BLACK president to embrace what is right.

This knucklehead ended Obama’s day on a sour note for sure. I heard it live on the radio and was quite pissed off. The Dems always bring up the race card. It’s amazing the things they get away with.
